Currently in the process of building a sleeping setup in my car so I can establish residence in the Crystal parking lot. Just finished the frame, it's made of 2x10 boards and has some storage room that will fit the spare tire and other goodies.

Next up is to cut some plywood that will sit on top of the frame and serve as the sleeping surface. Planning to add two hinges so that I can access the storage compartment at the rear and also slide the front seats all the way back when I'm driving.
 
Not sure if you're a seasoned car sleeper but I lived out of my jeep last winter. a couple of ideas for staying warm... Nap sack was a game-changer for me so I had something warm on when I woke up and could wear outside. There are definitely some mornings where mother nature will remind you who's boss as you sit there and question your life decisions. Also, recommend a heated mattress pad/ heated blanket type deal. Found it kept me warm and could run it through the night vs a space heater.
 
Might be worth putting the tire on the roof or back so you can have some storage space for skis etc under your bed.

Also i will be living at crystal. Im assuming it wont be super bumpin. Down to hang out and drink some beers from time to time.

Also interested in seeing the build. I like watching diy projects. Also helped my buddy make a bed setup in his runner while I was in CO.

There's a few threads on here somewhere where people have built some different shit and posted pics of what they have. Idk where to look though.
 
Just finished up with the plywood platform. Looks decent and the hinges make it super easy to get to my stuff and move the front seats around. I'll drop some pictures tomorrow if I remember to take them.

Now I just have to figure out how I want to set up bedding, I'm thinking a mattress topper + sleeping bag + blankets will be good enough?

Yeah definitely shoot me a message sometime this season. For what it's worth I think some of the RVers in the lot have a good amount of fun too
