Ski Math???

There are 124 chairs on the line.

At all times there are 4 chairs detached at each end.

The chairs run at 6 second intervals.

How long is the ride to the top?

r=4

The first eqn a=1

The second eqn a=1/8

I’m a little rusty with this type of math but isn’t this just a system of two equations? Why would you assume the same coefficient is different in the two equations.

from that approach I got r=2*2^(1/2) and a=1.78

Maybe it was. It probably wasnt. I think the last line was a meme because this looks like elementary algebra and I was able to do the first line in my head pretty easily. The second line pretty much requires a calculator unless you're a genius

Idk. you could basically sub the first eq into the second one without using a calc. Idk what the point of that problem is though.
