That is a pretty shitty list. I thought Freeskier's list last year of the top 25 or 20 was pretty accurate, especially compared to that. Mammoth is the best tho, no question, but I mean Hood should be on there and Bachelor and the EC shouldn't really make it in the top 10, no offense, but it isn't as good as the west.

I think its a joke, or I hope so, but Northstar's park does suck. They advertised like8, and when i went there was only one and the lift lines were enormous and the pipe was all slushy. It was gay.

ski magazine is the most fucked up publication out there. first off their ski review didn't include any park specific twin tips. and secondly keystone was in the top 20 of best ski areas. keystone is one of the worst in colorado. and how did copper not make the park list? it's all bullshit. I work at the post office and I usuallu jack the good magazines, I decided not to take a copy of ski.

 
there are a ton of east coast mountains that have a better park then wachusett; such as loon, sunappee, gunstock...pretty much everywhere is better than wachusett

Yay for waterville and SR getting some credit, but wheres Park City?? canyons is sick too....

ITs cause its voted by the readers...and how many kids who ski lots of park read that crap. And to the kid saying no east coast park should be in the top 10. All we have going are parks and a lot of mountains out here have some damn good parks and pipes. I have friends that moved out west and say east coast parks are as better than most of the parks out west.

yeah and how come bear mtn/ snow summit isnt on there, this year theyre gonna have a huge terrain park with like 70 jibs and 120 jumps

I think that they graded the east and west on different scales and then compared their final scores to get the top 10, not to make no sense or anything

Reasons to call BULLSHIT on this list

1. NO Snow Summit

2. NO Bear Mtn

3. Breck not in the top 3 where it should be

4. NO Park City

5. Wachusett??? wonder how much that cost to get ranked?

6. 6 east coast resorts? only Stratton and possibly SR belong in the top 10

7. No Lake Louise Canada

Heres my top 10 in no perticular order

Snow Summit-influenced the whole industry. the day summit doesnt build a park is the day they dont make the top 10

Bear-the continued progression of summits parks but spread over an entire mtn.

Mammoth-undisputted largest park system in the world. NO ONE matches their commitment period end of story

June-everything you like about Mammoth but without the hordes of wanna-be-cool guys gettin in the way

Breck-Big jumps, big landings, big trannies and one hell of a great pipe

Park City-great pipe, great rails, great snow. with Mangan running the show a great committment as well

Stratton-by far the biggest commitment on the east coast. they always pull off something great the US OPEN(snowboard)

Lake Louise-stepped up this year and got Patterson the run the show. Think of a smaller version of Mammoth Unbound but in Canada. check out his summer project in NZ snowparknz.com .. pretty fucking sick!

Whistler/Blackcomb-nearly as big as Mammoth Unbound. As long as Petri is in a cat, whistler will be at or near the top of the list. Petri is an artist operating a cat.

Close but no cigar list...

great rails but not so great jumps/pipe..

west Northstar / east Mt Creek

great pipe but not so great rails/jumps..

west Sierra Tahoe / east Okemo

great jumps but not so great pipe/rails..

west Kirkwood / east Mount Snow

almost great everything but not quite..

west Squaw / east Sunday River

great when the summer camps pay the grooming bill(and actually when someone else designs the park ie. CAMP MANAGERS), WACK-AS-HELL Public park for everyone else..Timberline
