do you bother? how likly is someone to take a pair of stickered, sidewall chipped scratched skis, even if they're dope mad_trix?

has anyone tried to snip those cheasy rewind locks or had them clipped by a crook?

i have one of these cheasy locks but only use it sometimes, i don't like carrying things in my pockets while skiing, and i don't know how secure it makes me feel anyways...

just use ski check... its cheap and easy, its like 50 cents a time

that is a decent idea, but i think it's more than 50 cents at ASC areas... on the other hand, the chick running the killington ski check was pretty cute, so it could be worth it.

dude ski check here is always free, and besides - who in there right mind would want to steal mad trix? i wouldnt even ride them

i have a reciol lock, and the wire is pretty damn thik, and hard to cut. but, i guess they are there to keep the person from trying, cause if i saw someone beating the shit out of a ski lock, i sure would ask questions

Ski Keys are the best system,

but if someone wants to steal your skis it will happen either way, the only sure bet is to put them up against a window and watch them, and when the asshole comes to rip them off, you run outside and beat him till he's dead...

ok, if someone really wanted to steal your skis, true they could be gone in like 3 seconds. but if u lock ur skis next to a pair of expensive, unlocked skis which pair of skis would the thief rather steal? i mean if people catch you clipping ski locks it's pretty obvious what's going on

I use a ski key and a recoil lock when Iam leaving my shit alone for a while, it's not difficult to do, and better safe than sorry, cause shit gets stolen.

get a burton teather lock. light and easy. a lock is only there to keep people honest. if somebody wanted your skis then they can just unscrew your break if they wanted to. locks are there to prevent a swipe and walk away.

for those of us who aren't as fortunate to get free shit from a sponsor, would you rather spend $15 for a lock or hundreds for a new set up?

Joey: me either but it's comin back!

here is what i am planning on doing, get a screw with an eye whole and screw it in right in front of your bindings, then just buy a cable or a dakine lock that you need to thread the lock through somin, and ur set,

Just ski all day.

I just take my 1 of my buddies skis with one of mine. Then take the other mismatched pair a few racks away. If they they really want the skis, the can find them, but that is how it is with almost every other system.

Yes the best defence is the mis-match, and lock up method...

and cable locks would take a seconded to clip, with wire cuters,

even ski keys (the ones you lock in the rack) can be poppped out with a screw driver,

the point is locks are a deterant, they will probley move on to an easier target, so don't make your self one...

Most of the time when skis are stolen the people walk up and grab them and leave. If you lock them they'll grab the skis and pull the rack with them. That would be funny. I have a lock but i hardly ever use it.

My girlfriend told me to shove my skis up my ass

up at SMS i mixed my Pocket Rockets with a pair of Mad Trixx....and someone fucking stole them. fuckers, they will die. lock your skis up....put them in the ski check thing, unless you have Pocket Rockets, Seth Pistols, etc....they're too big! just dont get your shit stolen, it sucks

i use my ski key but i forget it alot so i juss hide my skis in 2 different places, its kida a hassle but at least i feel safer than just leavin em there

i have a ski key... its not a huge burdon to carry a little shit thing thats smaller then ur palm in ur pocket... shit i dont trust anyone these days. there are always some punk ass mother frickers waiting to jack ur skis no matter how un-phatt they are.

Has Anyone with wide skis, (scratch BC, XXX, pocketrocket, littlebigfat.....etc.) had a problem with fitting their skis into the skikey racks?? Mine fit, but the skis are too wide for the pin to slide across, making the skikey useless. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
