Ski Living in Park City????

Haha yeah that's the scary part my credit is crap!!! So no credit card living for me lol. But you do have a great idea with the restaurants!!! Also I don't think I could work at TSA (Sports Authority because I left on a bad note) Is there even a TSA in PC?

Eeeek, That was sooooo helpful. Thank you! This is what I love about the ski community everyone is here to help everyone. haha this is why I want to move soooo bad!

I personally wouldn't worry about it! I mean there is always work somewhere. Tons of restaurants, boutiques, and retail stores. You could work on one of the mountains. Plenty of jobs.

Go for it! Besides its not like its any better anywhere else!

Yeah its just I make 35,000 here in Boise (and I hate my job) I just need to be comfortable for once. Canyon Creek is helping me out with an awesome deal so I just need to make sure I have the funds.

I know I can do it, its just making sure I have a job when I get there.

35k! at 21? is that with or without a college degree?

because your 21 so im guessing you didnt do four years, so no degree? because 35k is awesome for no degree, what do you do?

I worked my way up, lol. I work at a call center and first I was on the phones but then I was the best at my job so I got promoted to supervisor. The only kind of formal training I have is from the USSA not a college lol

we got a claimer... dont need anymore of those in PC
atleast you wont have the best afterbang, we are the cream of the crop at PC

jans or Cole sports would probably have some openings... since they would be losing help cuase the season is ending. Deer Valley always wants help with that mountain biking thing IDK otherwise

I have to agree, there is no one here (Boise) who skis. my roommate is legit and I have one other friend who can even keep up with me. BS! My little sister lives in SLC with a house full of skiers and they all seem really chill. She doesn't have a job right now cause there are NO jobs in SLC. she donates plasma about 2 times a week and makes like 70 bucks. She is very expierenced in making coffee and working in delis, she can't find any jobs at all. (neither can her roommates) anyway, hopefully your search is better. And if you want another girl to ski with, let me know. I am always up at Bogus, I have blue pants and my jaket changes between an all black one and a green and brown crazy patterned jaket. hit me up.

dont get caught with herbish .. i got arrested right after last years superpipe comp and the laws are alot different than other states like where im from up east coast.. i lived out there all last winter..big scene at PC ride Cayons

How far is the drive from salt lake to PC? I am thinking living in Salt lake might be the only way to go....IDK below is what I posted in non-ski gabber cause I don't know what to do with myself....any advice??

Hey everyone! I am looking for some serious advice! I am 21yrs old

living in Boise Idaho and I want to move to Park City, UT. Here is my

dilemma...I make about $14.50 an hour here in Boise and live in a 2B

apartment for $675 a month. But I am also $ 30,000 in debt due to a bad

ski accident a few years ago. IF I stay in Boise I could pay it off in

about 2 years...but I hate it here and my job.

I could move to Park City but rent would be about $1,200 a month and I

am sure I would make a lot less...I would work 2 jobs but I need my ski

time ya know. And what about my debt?

I am so confused could I please get some advice :D

Thanxxx

Find a single apartment and live in Salt Lake. PC is about 30 mins away. Plus, then you don't have to drive as far to get legit skiing in the canyons at alta, snowbird, or solitude.

eventually, you will make friends you can get a house with too, probably, then it will be cheaper.

Haha true but I am one of those people that needs to live alone...I hate roomates but I could easily afford like 700 hundred a month....Just don't know about living in SaltLake its so crowded

Salt lake is not that crowded, honestly. It's does not feel very big living here.
Sandy sucks. If you are stoked on adding 20+ minutes to your drive anytime you want to do anything, and you like the sound of being surrounded my mormons, go for it. otherwise, stick to SLC or PC

You dont want to live in Sandy or Murray, I live in Murray and it sucks. Everybody that skis lives in sugarhouse or near the University campus. If you live in the sugarhouse area then hopping onto 80 for the PC is close.
Salt Lake is pretty unique in its feel. its a big city but has the characteristics of a town in its feel. Its not that bad at all since the mountains are RIGHT there. If you get tired of the city, a quick 10min drive will get you into the mountains.

i think its just that there are not that many skier girls out there, and skier guys dig them like mad...so with that its really easy for the girls to hook up with whoever they want..just my take...

You couldnt pay me enough to live in SLC. They topped the nation in air quality badness a few weeks ago. The winter inversion SUCKS. If you are heavily into the park scene check out heber city (15 min from PC). Alta/bird has much better terrain/snow. Living in PC I havent been there in a long time. But when you really get to know pc/canyons there is some kick ass skiing to be had outside park.

it's bad air quality for a couple days before the next storm rolls through and knocks it out. It's never like that when there's no inversion, ie all summer and most of the spring and fall. Depending on the day the air quality is measured it's at the top of the charts as the best or at the bottom as the worst.
