Ski Liberty

yeah you cant sit on it cause it like sets off a trigger that immediatly turns off the j bar... and its really annoying cause lots of gapers do it and then you have to wait like five minutes for them to fix it. so just hold it how your supposed to haha

when does liberty usually open for the season? will they have up any park stuff on opening weekend?

Dont quote me on this but i think they might open early to mid december, i remember going to whitetails opening day like december 9th and there probably both around the same time. And Im assuming they have a few rails set up.

Liberty usually has a few jibs open opening weekend. You will probably have to hike the park, but it's usually fun.

liberty isnt that bad for where its is, i ski a t roundtop and go to liberty like 4 times a year, roundtop all ways has the same features, liberty is always changing it up

quoting WORf : i have put more man hours into parks and pipes at roundtop probably

then you've been on snow. i still get deals from company's for who i

am, and what i have done.

no one cares what you did to get those sweet 170cm boards to slash the pipe and sweet pow they get up at roundtop, and as for oooooh mr. liberty.. you know why i claim all that.? because in those 13 years i worked for those resorts i made shit happen! apparently unlike yourself. I took the initiative to learn how to groom so we could have a park rider building stuff, I took the initiative to learn how to weld to build all our features in house to save the mt money and build what we wanted. I did it.. i didnt go crying to upper management with all these possible solutions and money making schemes without the knowledge to back it up...

If your still bitching about it 28 yrs later maybe its time for you to move somewhere else where you wont have to spend all your time crying about it.. everyone on this forum makes good points, including yourself but, do you realize how dumb you sound? your complaining about spending money there but, year after year you do it with no results. you wanna talk about hitting them where it hurts? leave if your doing so much for them..this past year everyone at all three mountains had awesome ideas and wanted to see things happen but, again mid-atlantic weather decides our fate. you can say that there are times that they could blow snow in the park or they should have, sometimes you have to make it happen with what you have.

I decided this year to hit them where it hurts, . i walked away, to show them how important the people who care about the parks are. actually i drove away and now i am the grooming supervisor and park manager at echo mountain park in idaho springs, colorado. you think all that 13 yr talk was shit.? well i got the skills to back that up and im proving it here everyday and cant wait for the snow. so while your bitching and complaining about what THEY wont do for you by not blowing snow in the park but, still giving them your ever precious dollars, your not really doing anything. so just walk away, go somewhere else. sometimes people make me so mad

Kelly: Congrats on the job again, looks like you are doing well out there. I'm definately going to have to check it out soon this winter. BTW, am i chopped liver over here? Or was it LeRoy that taught you how to properly build a park ;)

Worf: All that constructive criticizm and no changes are really being made at RT. Instead start voting with your wallet, Don't like how they do things there? Then don't spend money there! I know you put a lot of time and effort into the program there and i respect that, but it seems that they don't give 2 shits about what you or other people think. Why would you spend money at a place that doesn't care about its patrons? It is a lost cause to try and change some people's minds until someone higher up than their management steps in and makes the changes for them. People like Eric Flynn are the only people who have that power.

As for Liberty, they have a lot of good riders and the park is usally fun, hopefully they will be alright this season without a groomer or supervisor

aahh coop it's not like that... you deifnitely showed me the way. if it wasnt for you i wouldnt have the skills i have now bur, i took the step and got them to let us young guys get behind the sticks and do it. things are good out here. check out transworld snowboarding magazine online and check out the echo mtn. update on the front page..you gonna transfer out here? doesnt sound like this year is going to be good at liberty.. dennis got a job at telluride and is coming out in november... im thinking they will have a job opening if your interested

haha i know, i was just busting yer balls. As soon as you texted me, I checked into the site and it looks like you are killing it man. I also noticed that Lib is hiring a groomer, a park manager, and a park groomer. I chuckled.

Claim: I have had the opportunity of getting to know this man right hurrr. East coast represent taking it to the midwest and changing the way people view shit already. Btw this was the former park manager for Liberty Mountain Resort and Conference center haha.
