ski length

hey i am about 5'11' to 6 foot, and around 135 pounds, what length ski should i look into for terrain park and all around?

 
low to mid 170s probably, all around. you can get away with 160somethings if you really want to. I just dont know why you'd want to.

 
nnoooo bigger than that....a ski as tall as you is a good starting point, then add or subtract length depending on your skill and whatnot...so to start, i'd think of a...6 feet=72 inches=182 centimeters...

i'd start around a 180 cm ski

I wouldve saaid 180 too... but... 135 pounds? Not really sure about that one. Not exactly usual dimensions.

 
yea if i were you id probably ski the low high 160's low 170's.. im like an inch or 2 bigger than you, but i weigh 165 and my new skis are going to be in the 180's.. but the weight difference..

yeah

if you're a major weakling go lower, but 170-180 range will be fine

im 5'7' 140 and i ski a 175, it's perfect

175-180 for your height and weight

what's the longest and shortest ski people usually ski? i don't want to go too long, cause even though i am medium height, i am pretty light, and i want control, not necessarily speed. and shorter is more control. i was looking on some sites and salomon makes like 150s, 160s, 170s, and 180s. which do you think i should get out of that length range?

 
im 5'10' 150lbs i like to ski a min of 175. 182 is what i like

^^ 170s. You'll regret it .ater if you get shorter, and 170 isnt that long anyways. Even if you have to learn to control it, you'll be better off once you do. I like 181, but that's me.

 
I'm about your size and i ride 180 candides and 181 1080s, def get a 'longer' length for all round because of the flaired up tail you'll loose some running surface

By the sounds of it, you probably want about a 175cm. I'm 5'10', 185 lbs, intermediate skilled skier, and I ride 182 and think there a really good size for me.

I'm 6'4, 195 and ride 193's... A pal of mine is about 6'2, 140 and rides 175's with no problem. Weight is more of a factor here than height is.
