Ski length in the Park

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’m starting to ski in the park and learning new tricks. I was wondering what kind of ski length do most people use in the park (i.e. shorter skis). For example my skis come up to about my hair line or just above (160cm). But I would think that with shorter skis it would be a lot easier to perform tricks. Does anyone know if the pros use shorter lengths, if I use 160cm for an all mountain ski, would I use a 150cm in the park? I know that its more personal preference, but I thought I would ask anyway.

Thanks for the advice.

1st of all, search the forum for previous threads just like this one.

2nd, how much do you weigh? 160's are probably a decent size, especially if you plan on growing (i wouldn't go any shorter)

I'm 6ft and want some 178cm 05 Skogens or 186cm 04 Pollards. The general trend in ski length changes, a few years ago most people were on shorter skis, now they are longer again. It's all down to personal preference.

Im 5'11 and I used to ride 170 all mountain, now Im getting 176 scratch bc's, thats for australia though. Powder doesnt really exist much here. Im heading over to colorado at christmas, will probably get some AK rockets or Gotama's for over there, maybe even the sanouks. They will prob be in about 185 to 190.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.
