Ski length help.

Im about to go from the super skinny super light atomic punx, to some heavy and wide line blends.

The skis I have now are 170s. The blends I would get would be 178s. I am 5'10" 120lbs.

I feel as if the skis will be a lot heavier and a big swing weight difference, the thing I love most about my punx is I can huck my meat super easily, a 4 on is like a 2 on my old chronics. Will the blends be too heavy? Or am I just over guessing this... Will I be fine?

you will be fine. i went from 167 line future spins which were 87 underfoot to 180 icelantic danollies (95 underfoot) this year and noticed very little difference. i could never go back to a ski under 180 after adjusting to them. adjusting to them took about 1 day if that.

Ok rad thanks man! Did you notice anything tricks wise? After a day everything was all good? Thanks!

I went from Line Afterbangs(166cm) to the Revision Talisman(176cm), the waist width went from 88 to 96. Trick wise you will definitely be able to tell that you have more ski to maneuver around. After a day or so you should start to get used to the new ski. I am still able to throw myself as hard or as aggressively at rails, it just takes a while to get used to it. After I was used to my new skis I felt more comfortable throwing down, on and off of rails. The skis were more stable on the landings and with the extra waist width i was more balanced on the rails. I hope this helps have fun on your new skis!

+K for you man! Thanks so much. How long does it take? Like a week? Bless u man

trick wise i noted only positives easier balance on rails because of the winder platform and also alot more stable on jumps. Swing weight was not a big deal at all and i didn't even notice it.

I went from 148 Volkls (they were like 3 pounds) to 170 Icelantics which are like 8 pounds and I couldn't slide a fucking rail for my life day 1. Like day 4 I was back to normal of the most part, and really enjoyed the length. The only really issue was the weight, and after like 10 days they felt like 3 pounds again
