Ski length help....

I am 5'11" 165lbs and am buying the salomon twenty twelve. I just can't decide between the 171 and 179. I like to ski park and hit the occasional rail or jump but also like to ski trees, pow and groomers. Any help is much appreciated.

Well, like most things, it depends.

If you are more of a beginner skier who doesn't have too much experience, go a bit shorter. However, if you have been riding for a while and feel comfortable sliding in most conditions, go with at least the 179cm.

I'm 5'8 and ride anywhere from a 177 to 183 soooooooooo... get the biggest available size.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the help. I was leaning more toward the 179 anyhow just because its a center mount ski. I am no pro but I ski aggressivley and want to progress a bit more in the park.

with the dual rocker and center mounted, it will feel way shorter than 179, so yeah go with the 179

I'd go with the 179, im 5'8 and my park sis are a 178 with no rocker and they feel fine, if you are going to use them fro trees and such i might even go for a bigger one i dont know the sizes though

179 for sure, you would regret getting the 171
