i know some of you have gotten something ski related stolen at one time or another. I got some skis stolen a while ago. so i was wondering why no one has come out with ski insurance. given it would cost alot to set up and everything. but we have insurance for cars, houses, boats, planes, etc...

why not have insurance for skis, because some skis can get pretty expensive.

 
if your parents have dope homeowners ins, it might be covered under that. or if you do....

i think you can get insurance on anything

It would help but honestly....I doubt it. Cause the theft rate of skis is so high and how are you gonna tell them apart? Of course I know my own skis from someone elses really, but uh lets say 2006 Fuji's with P12s.....hows anyone gonna 1) Tell them apart from a nother pair of the same set up if it werent you and 2) How often are stolen skis ever really found?

my friend gave me some goggles once, and they got stolen. i was soo pissed. the worst part was i was in the area teh whole time. it was attached with my helmet and gloves and everything, but they stayed intact

Anyway, a gas station we pass. We got gas, and ran off to get grub.It was a nice little pub in the middle on nowhere. Anywhere woulda been better. I ordered enchiladas and I ate 'em, Ali had the fruit punch.

 
i had a friend put a claim in on homeowners for his stolen ski shit, if your deductible is low, it can work

Yeah, if you live on your own, you can get renter's insurance as well. Like someone else said, the deductible might make it kind of useles if its just your skis that are ripped off, but if you get totally robbed it would help a lot.

 
Even still. With the amount of skis out there, the chances of getting them back are so slim. I know wer're talkin about insurance here but as far as just Ski Insurance ever, not through homeowners or renters, I doubt it
