So, firstly. Before i get blazed for not checking the search bar, I did and most of the related posts are old.

Just payed my balance for a week at MtHood. Read through the Waivers and it states your required to have travel insurance. I don't!

Any NSer's have any good ski/travel insurer favorites before i start the bullshit process of gettin quotes from them all.

Just incase it matters, I'm a resident of the US but not American. Some policys are country strict.

Aint really fussed as to the extent of cover, just aslong as i can put a policy number in the box provided.

Thanks

You get blazed for not doing something, most people don't do something when they're blazed. You got mad lucky. -_____-

I highly doubt that you are required to have travel insurance. basically what travel insurance is for is in case you get injured or for whatever reason you cannot go to camp you will get a majority of your money back.

although you may not be required to have it... i highly reccomend it. its usually under $50 for something like a ski camp...

Check out Travmark

"All camp participants must have his own health and accident insurance"

Quoting off the waiver i got sent from MHSSC.

Travmark is one of the expensive ones right now, but thanks for the help.

well, health insurance is pretty important when you're doing a sport you're more than likely going to get hurt doing...

Ummmm nope. Excuse the stupidity, but if i'm going to a camp and had to sign a waiver, wouldn't health insurance be the same as travel insurance if im required to have it?

travel insurance is for the trip, health insurance is for your body. both can be purchased for short term deals and wells worth it

travel insurance can cover injury too, it's coverage for medical expenses, trip cancellation/interruption, baggage damage, and medical evacuation, you can custom tailor your coverage, you might already have health insurance that covers personal injury, or maybe you dont. In hindsight you should have signed up for camp with a fake name, then if you got hurt you could just not pay and stick it to the hospital.
