Yo i was an instructor at tiny tots, the ski school for little kidies at my old local hill. It was cool cause i put a few bucks in my pocket, got to ski and play all day, and got free chocolate milk, mac'n' cheese, and cookies.

in general though, ski instructors are gay.

im a ski instructor at maple ski ridge. its not bad, you get paid to ski, except for when you need to get those fat little kids on the damn ropetow. plus u get to hit allllll the honeys

i hate fucking instructing. but i saved , i figured, 700 bucks this year by doing it- and that's just from going to other resorts and skiing for free or discounted.

plus, I got certified, PSIA level 1, which means i can proform now.

yes the freeskiing module is a joke, but so was the snowboard certification when it first was developed.

heh everyone always forgets the _Mike in the name. ahwell. yeah. ski instructing's gettin old, too much politics and people bitching at me for building hits. I think I'm outa the whole teaching bit unless it's in the park. ya the freeski was a joke beacuse it was just for people to get a clue, but it was one damn fun weekend.

hell yea i an instructor, but i got in trouble at the end of the season and never went back so im not so sure about next year...

I teach at Canada Olympic Park, in Calgary. Small hill in the middle of the city. Not bad though, drive 15 mins for one of the best pipes in Alberta, and a few good kickers. A good way to spend your time not teaching.

 
Was going to try and do my certificate so could get paid to ski but all too hard trying to fit it in around Uni (especially when the training days are in the same week of fucking exams).

Do you actually have to get a certificate to become an instructor or can you teach the little kiddies without one? That would be the best, getting all their hot chocolate milks....ah the memories.

 
I'm an instructor. I didn't get any deals though because it was at the resort my old man runs. So it sucked. Better than the pizza place I used to work at which was always about 110 degrees and smelled like fish.

 
theree are tons of ski instructors on here its a great way to make some cash workin like 4 hours a day get to ski for free, and still get to ski all the time cuz not everyone can afford just to get a pass and not work all summer

i happened to know the vice head of the ski school, and he suggested it.....

but, i'd just go up to the lesson desk, and ask about teaching....

or, better still, call them up in the summer, and see if they do any hiring clinics in the fall..... easyist way to get a teaching job......

if you're in Canada, goto the CSIA website, i forget what it is exactly, but I'm sure you could find it. Somewhere in there it tells you when and where they have certification courses, and you just call up and get into one. Mine was 4 days long, $300 including lift tickets. Not bad though considering it gets you a pass for all the mountains owned by that company which would usually cost alot more than that !

 
I coach little kids in the park. It's so nice. The first year sucked with all those little bitches pouring hot choclate on me.
