Ski instructor courses

Was wondering if anyone could help me find an operation based in New Zealand that does CASI training. I've so far only found ones that do NSZIA and BASI. Basically my aim is to get level 2 CASI over summer next year and would prefer it to be CASI as I plan to head on over there after university.

Another question.. is it worth doing a full 11 week programme if I can already ski blacks comfortably?

Thanks in advaance

you wont find one in Newzealand CASI is Canadian based and only runs in Canada if u want certification for New Zealand then u gotta do the one over there . If you can do blacks comfortably then u will be ok with level 1 but level 2 is a whole nother ball game.

i've just got back from NZ for the summer teaching out there, i know you can definitely do your casi in other countries apart from canada, all you need is a canadian trainer. As far as i'm aware you can do a casi course at Cardrona but i'm not sure what the company are called, there were also some people at treble cone doing it i think, that lot is called Rookie Academy. Anyway i hope thats some help.

yo, theres a casi or csia course in the summers i do believe, you train for level 2 and/or3 for a week or two with skiers of the same ability and then all take the course together, you all live in a rez of some sort. i remember getting an email about it a couple years ago, im sure somebody will know more though

Thanks for the info guys. I checked out rookie academy and it seems they don't do level 1 but only level 2/3. So I doubt I could just jump into level 2... Know of any places that do level 1 and 2 CASI perhaps?
