Ski instructing

is probably the most stressful job over the holidays, i havent had a day off in 2 weeks. i feel like i am going to die

Quit while it is still early in the season! i was a ski instructor for a year at smuggs. Worst winter of my life all my friends going out and hitting some sick pow and im stuck with bratty 5 year olds from new jersey and flordida. it is not worth the free season pass. IMO

11/h is pretty dope.

imma claim right her

i make 9.50/hour but i get a 2.50/h attendance bonus. so jsut have to go nine saturdays and i get 60$ pre program i teach. so 120 bucks bonus

every ski instructor i see with a group of 10 screaming rich kids just looks like they hate life, i always thought it was my dream job but it looks kind of painful...

i fell ya man. im halfway thru my 8day in a row shift. and to top it off im getting shitty lessons, fucking never evers on the carpets that cant make a wedge turn to save their life.

i also only get minimum wage, but for each 2 hour lesson, i get paid for 4 hours. so its legit, basically 15$ an hour. my holiday check is gonna be a shit ton though!

Yeah I have 2 friends who are instructors, and they both say it sucks. One of them was promoted to operating the NASTAR course though, and he says it's really easy.

some one just read the NS dictionary thread. I hear ya man, I am helping teaching skiing to inner city kids for a program called YES in Boston. It can be wicked stressful. Good luck and try to keep the strees level down

harsh.

I just can't deal with groups of little kids at all, they just piss me off too much. on their own its cool to see them improve, but seriously 8 little kids screaming 'cus it's cold and their legs hurt, I was close to just skiing of and letting them find their own way home.

Ski guiding's where it's at.

i love running nastar, its the shit. you sit at the top of the course, and radio their nastar number down to the bottom. thats it, its sweet aas fuck.
