Ski injuries: prevention & recovery

Hey Ya'll,

There's a cool ski injury presentation sponsored by the Utah Freeskier Society at the University of Utah

this Thursday night for anyone interested. The presenter, Dr. Steve

Willlick works with the US ski team and does lots of skiing injury

research with different resorts and ski patrol.

Here's the info:

Ever

wonder how to avoid that season-ending injury?

Or maybe you want to know how to recover faster from an injury incurred

while skiing. Dr Stuart Willick, an expert in snowsports injuries, will

lead a discussion exploring these issues.

Time: Thursday, Feb 28 @ 7 pm

Location: University of Utah, Orson Spencer Hall, room 231

Dr.

Willick specializes in the rehabilitation of sports and other

musculoskeletal injuries. He completed a fellowship in sports medicine

at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and has worked with the

sports medicine team at the University of Utah since 1999. In addition to working with University of Utah

and recreational athletes, he also works closely with the U. S. Ski and

Snowboard Teams. He has done extensive research with ski resorts and

patrolers on ski and snowboard injury and prevention.
