symmetrical skis (vishnus, jets) - mount true center

non symmetrical skis (on3ps, blends) - mount a couple cms back

how is this so hard to figure out??

yeah sure if that's what you like, for me the main appeal of a getting a sym ski is the swing weight so I'm still going true center. Also don't just mount any non sym ski at 1.5 some skis are more directional than others
 
Nowadays lots of people do 1cm back for control purposes. Back when more skis were fully symmetrical like the afterbang days. You would always go true centre. I still personally do true centre just because I always have ?
 
Where you mount your skis is personal preference, it's not like mounting your skis 1cm back from center is going to make you a pro skier.

Y'all got too much time on your hands hahahaha, quality post though this made me laugh. My comment on how pros mount was definitely wrong I'll admit that. Should've researched more before making the vid. That being said my video is about how I personally prep skis, and I personally always mount true center no matter what is recommended. End of the day it's all personal preference and won't make make too much of a difference.

Also Jens' content is quality, there's a reason his channel is so much bigger than me.

Was so bored out of my mind and just saw an opportunity to create clearly fake beef haha. The comment about pros was totally not a big deal I just saw something to go in on ? actually watch your stuff, keep it up!

My point is that your mounting point isn't that important, it won't make you a better skier if you mount your skis one way or another. Making such a huge deal out of it isn't worthwhile and sort of just makes you look like a noob.

dudes skiing back mounted blends look hilarious, it’s already an ugly shape but not mounting center really ruins it

Minus 1cm pivots will look better than center mounted Attacks, Griffons, or sth’s any day of the week. You know why? Cause those 3 bindings (and prolly more) look like shit simply because it looks like they’re back mounted due to extra material behind the boot.

TLDR non center mounting looks dumb if it’s more than a cm

id bet that I could show you 10 different clips of skiers and there would be absolutely no way you could correctly guess where their skis are mounted outside of a lucky guess.

I AINT DROPPING MY CLIPS BRO hahaha

Honestly I care a lot more about my skis working well than looking good, those on3ps have a rec mounting point of -7cm so center mounting them would make them ski like shit. But if that's the type of stuff you do to look cool I admire your dedication!
