what are some good colleges that offer ski industry as a minor or major? i know UMAINE farmington is one, but what are some others on both coasts?

i actually endorse drug use. i dont do them myself, but i think it acts as a form of natural selection.

CU. i hate to sound like i keep whoring my school out but it's pretty relevant here as far as ski industry stuff. even the party scene is laced with a bunch of young guns who live here or around here and tons of people are always in town because... well because of the chrons most likely but its an overall dope place.... just hope your parents will float the bill, everything for one semester (tuition, room n board, etc) can run up to 30g

CMC (Colorado Mountian College) has a bunch of relevant programs. However they are Community College (I believe) and the ski related programs are not offered as majors or minors, but as certificate programs (I think).

lyndon state college has a ski resort management program. I suggest just going into business or something related, imho ski resort majors are way too specialized.

 
Colorado mountain college for sure...

but I wouldn't go there...life is so boring there...but..like CU boulder, u got a really good school,,skiing and just........a lot of drinking and parties....

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.
 
By far the best one if you want to get into the industrey is Green MT college. Its paretnership with killy and you get your name out there. ITs great program, message me if you have any questions.

 
i dont know if CU has a major that is strictly something to do within the SKI industry, but there are some programs that do have parallels and would be helpful...also, its about 30 to 35 thousand a year, not semester.

CMC offers degrees in all their ski industry related programs, but they are all pretty much 2yr associates degrees, and you would xfer out to another colorado college to finish up, say a 4yr business degreee. Works good to stay in CO because CMC has credit transfer agreements with some of the colleges, so you wont lose any.

don't limit yourself bro. just get a business degree, and do an intership or something. plus the ski industry is small, so if it doesn't work out you still have a business degree.

and Utah has a good business program, coupled with THE best skiing only 30 minutes away. if you want to ski and go to college at the same time go to the uuniversity of Utah. the party scene isn't the same as boulder or csu, but it isn't bad, and if you meett the right people you can rage pretty hard. trust me i did. and it is easy to schedule classes for only 3 or 2 days a week, and most of the time you can be done with class by 10:30...leaving pleanty of time to ski in the afternoon. it is just hard on pow days to go to class.

With Green Mt program, you have 2 co-ops at killy and those you can go allmost anyware im going to do park. And then the last year you do intership at other place, im thinking Park city or Whisler.

 
yeah but green mountain is in poultney...there is nothing there but a gas station with a dunkin donuts and lake st. catherine

 
check out selkirk college in nelson, they have a ski resort management program. i met the director of the program when they did a trip to whistler and he seems really cool. everyone in the program seemed pretty cool too.
