Ski Industry and Economy

For those of you in the ski industry... are you seeing the affects of the ill economy, and what impact will this have on lifts running this season?

I've heard that Tammarack Lodge pretty much went under and may not even be running lifts this year!

I personally work in High End Custom Homes and I will be lucky to have a job by the end of the year!

Luckily I bought my pass, but will the lifts run? Will I be able to afford gas to get there?

Hate to say it, but Im a little worried!

I work in a shop, and i can tell you that not only have lift expenses gone up, but cost of gear certainly has. Apparently global warming isnt the only threat to skiing, this shitty economy is as well. Thanks George!

i work at a high end resort and this has been an issue for quite sometime. for the most part the people who come to our resort are incredibly wealthy and haven't been hurt too much by the current economy. we'll see a drop in clients coming out but it will be some time until it starts to affect how the business is run.

ps i'm only speaking for one resort, it's likely to be either the same or very different somewhere else (i.e. vail)
