Ski Hills is Australia?

Ok, so my parents have work in australia, and I might be moving there.

I wanted to know if there was any skiing in/near Perth or Brisbon.

If so, how far is it, and what are the hills like?

Help me out here, I'm seriously concerned for my skiing!
 
Hey man, Perth and Brisbane are a long way frmo the skifields - you would ideally fly (which gets expensive!)

The hills are ok if we have a decent season..comparable to an average east coast season i guess..

You could be better to fly to NZ if you were in Brisbane- similar cost compared to the fuel cost of driving, and it's only a few hours flight too..

I'm in Sydney and it takes me about 6 hours to drive to the snow (blue dot)

Oh fuck me.... There is no way I would ski again except for on vacations... I am not a happy kid right now. But its only a possibility, so I guess I'm ok for now.
 
dude this is my life. I get a week or so skiing every year unless i travel over the december/jan period (which isn't financially sustainable every year). I guess you make the most of what you can
 
how late does the season typically run until? it looks like i will be in australia (adelaide, melbourne, sydney) and then over to new zealand late september into mid october. will anything still be open?
 
It looks like this year we will have a late seasonh..Impossible to say, but generally through september, and if it's a good late season then into October isn't out of the question.
 
dude if you live in perth... two words... your fucked hahaha but cmon you guys gotta stop bitching... im like silence i love in sydeny and im lucky to get to ski 2 weeks a year... unless i travel overseas in your winter but now i am 18 and gotta pay for myself which is gay :( but srsly... some of you guys dnt realise how lucky you are to live in a country with snow... and moun tains!!! ours are just big hills... hahaha
 
Well that was some pretty useless censorship of a swear word, i think we all know you say fucked haha. And in perth your better off flyng to nz fo beter snow but worse parks generally than aus.
 
best thign ive read on ns in ages.. if you move to perth i sugest you take up surfing ... skiing and WA some how just dont mix.. but there is one bonus.. theres mad hot girls in perth.. and the SUrfs sick
 
^ hahahaha true surfing would b a much better option hahaha, but i never really liked surfing... mayb cause i suck at it lol
