K so I am getting a new pair of skis next year. Im a small kid from Ontario meaning I need about a 160 which isnt too stiff and I wont be skiing pow. Maybe once or twice if I get lucky.

So, I was planning on gettin the suspects, but Im also a mogul skier (dont hate) and I just snapped a pretty new pair of mogul skis so I need a new pair for next year. I need a good pair that wont snap since I snapped my last ones in under 10 days.

So my problem is that I cant really afford to get mogul skis and suspects I dont think. Im now considering the Line Anthems.

Will these skis work for me if I get about a 160. Im 110lbs and about 5' 3 and basically all I'm using them for is park and regular skiing cuz I get maybe 2 pow days a year.

Should I spend the money on salomon and go with the Lines since theyre much cheaper. Any feedback on the anthems and suspects would be appreciated.

if you got the anthems would you also be able to get mogul skis? because if not, i dont think the anthems would be good at all in the bumps, way too much deflection and the butterzones will be no fun on moguls. if you could get both, do it though
 
No, I am for sure getting mogul skis, and park skis because I grew out of my park skis by a lot and I snapped my mogul skis. The thing Im trying to figure out is weather I should get anthems or suspects. Ive been thinking suspects but then I snapped my moguls so I have to go cheaper and the anthems seem like a ski that would work for me I just want to make sure
 
The Suspects are pretty expensive. I would assume that they're more of a stiffer park ski compared to the Anthem. If you like buttering/messing around/rails and a tidbit of pow, then Anthems will work great. You may even be able to find last years for cheaper, considering that they're the same ski.

I don't know anything about the Suspect, sorry. I haven't read anything about them yet...

yea i demoed both and i liked the anthems way more. much more fun to just mess around on, the suspects were reeeeeeeeeaaaally stiff. but they were poppy. but the anthems would be perfect for you.
 
yeeeah. That comment was basically a turning point for me. Im gonna go with the anthems. I wanna try to get the octoland ones. +karma
 
im gettin a seperate pair of mogul skis as it says above. I wont be using these in the park. Ill give you karma tho just to get you off zero
 
i would personally recommend the invaders over the anthems for you because ive found they have better grip on ice (which i believe will be what youre skiing)
 
The 93 mm waist of the anthems would throw you about on moguls, not a good idea. Also, K2 redid the cabrawler mogul ski for '09. Its called the mamba. That and the volkl wall mogul sound like good mogul comp skis
 
i personally love my anthems, super fun to fool around with in the park, I have never ridden a salomon ski, so I have nothing to say about them; but purely on the anthem side, they rock
 
you could rock the invaders dude, you're super light. the anthems are a bit stiffer (cuz they're wider) but they're lots of fun and hella cheap.

super soft, really fun, i think they'd be better off than the anthems in the bumps, but ive never skied anthems, so i dont know how they'd ski in the bumps

but i love my invaders, they're so sick in the park and really fun in the bumps

 
You dont have to worry if you get hit with some fresh snow with the anthems because your small and they are like 93 waist so it will be a super fun all around ski. And with the butter zone you will have some fun and be able to do some butters even at your size.

if you really want line-invaders, if yo want to ski all over-anthems

I think you should personally go with rossi park skis (like the ghettos-try proctorjones and evogear- cause they are flexi, but not overly so like invaders, better for moguls.
 
I think the anthems would be a great choice for you. Cheap and versatile. Soft skis and have sick graphics. Maybe since the suspects are pretty spendy you could consider 08 thrusters? They are a solid park ski and not too stiff and not too soft either. They also have dimensions like the anthems to be awesome in the park and also playful in the few pow days you get. But i would say prolly go with the anthems cuz they're cheaper.
 
at yours size and what your going to be doing with them i would say invaders will do you good. I have never actually been on a pair myself but i think with how light you are the extra width will be almost waisted. They have about the same flex pattern just invaders are a little softer, but at the same time the wider base makes it a little easier to land off of a good sized table.. depends on your abilty and $$ but it would say either would be a good choice for you
 
hey if your consitering solomons think twice. if u managed to snap a pair of mogle skis then you'll destroy a pair of solomons. i have no personal experience with this but i hear that the foam cores that solomon uses, snap easy. so idk solomon might be a bit risky.
