Ski games

i haven't played it yet, but maybe i'll do that.

is it able to do nice and smooth tricks, like switch cork, d-spins and so on?
 
SSX on tour is ok, i dont regret getting it thought.

The bad things about it are the hill that you are riding on have to many things do do stuff, its pretty hard to do a clean line down the mountain (like in amped)

The other downside are that you have to play with the "worst" skis that are the fujatives because if you dont play with them your rodeos will look like aerial spins.

You can slow down 540`s and stuff like that by pressing (if you wanna do a rightside spin) right then left when youve spinned maybe 360 but it looks kind of weird.

One other anoying thing are the "i rule" "rad" and stuff like that.

But basiclly its the best skiing game out there right now on xbox and ps2 so buy it and hopefully they will make a better skiing game in the future.
 
ive played that. that game is tite. but it wont work on my playstation anymore and i cant figure out why. guess im gonna have to get ssx on tour.
 
it would be so sick if someone made a console game for skiing thats like amped....and make it real cool so when u do missions its like a film company calling you up to do a photoshoot on a handrail or some bc
 
yeah, like they said above, use the crappiest skis to make things look real.

also...

try to not preload very much, like, as little as possible.

and then use the slow down trick while you are spinning by pressing the direction opposite of your spin.

i love ssx on tour.

i think ssx3 is better, but the skiing in on tour makes up for any gameplay issues.

ps: try completing all of the races going switch.
 
ssx on tour sucks. ssx3 had super cool levels, the way it was split into the 3 peaks, especially the BC stuff right at the top. the new one is just one big mash of a level, it's really difficult to plan where you want to go or whatever. also the graphics are terrible, everything is washed out and grey, no matter what crazy colourful clothes you buy.

another thing is the novelty 10 minute races from top to bottom were fun, but in the new one they've basically made them standard, 10 minute trick events are NOT fun, they're just a chore.

i've put way to much though into this, need to get back to the real thing, soon :(
