Ski game like Skate 3

My cousin's friend's dad works for EA and said they've been working on one for the past couple years. Should drop this fall..

it's already going to be released on ps4, I don't think they plan on releasing it for PS3, although you could just play it on your computer using a PS3 controller

when can we realistically expect this game to come out on ps4? no rush....just curious
 
PS3 can't handle the game (both technically and business-wise) so we're only looking at next-gen consoles.

PS4 release date is TBD, we're focusing on the PC Closed Beta right now and then will figure out our launch plan for PS4.

PS4 later this year (probably in the fall, just before the next seasons starts). Xbone, unknown as we're currently exclusive with PS4.

why are you exclusive to ps4? i feel as if you can easily expand your market if you also include xbox

Is the gameplay going to be at all like the skate series? ya know with the joysticks to manual (butter) and ollie (jump)? Or will it be like other ski/skate games with hit a button to jump?

why are you using past tense, the game is in early release meaning you could play it yourself right now
 
I just have this feeling that snow is going to be a huge let down. i just don't think they can make a skate like game for skiing without a huge budget like ea sports. GTAV for example had 100,000 programmers. the snow guys say they have 2. im just not going to get my hopes up for a quality ski game in the near future.

Before you say anything, have you played the game? Or did you look at the steam page and say "$15 bucks?! No way!!"? The game has a few bugs and glitches but to me its freaking awesome. And to compare a game like SNOW to GTA is really stupid. The Devs of SNOW work really hard and it shows, it doesn't matter if you have an army of programmers or three all that matters is if they have the passion for what they are doing.

TLDR: Game is sweet and shut up before you play it.

Would it be safe to say it will be 2015 though? My computer is shit and it can't run Sialia even on the lowest possible resolution and graphical settings. I'm just playing Fochi all the time and would love to expierience the main map.

> We have both stick control (like skate, but not as polished) and regular "hold/release A to jump" controls. Personally I feel the traditional hold/release mechanic feels better. With Skate the trick stick makes sense since it mimics the movement of the board, but with skiing it's not exactly the same.

We can't promise, but we are totally confidant that we will hit our goal of releasing on PS4 this year. We should know more after we launch Closed Beta on PC.

well considering how it has progressed so far you are a dumb bitch, it's becoming closer and closer to the final result and its sweet as fuck. If the steam modding community can get it's hands on it the possibilities will be endless.

there is, but it's just not super polished yet and requires a ridiculous computer to run the game at a decent quality level.
 
my wife's husband works at a game developer who's making a ski game inspired by skate, i've played it and it's pretty good
