Let me start this by saying I'm not close friends with Brandon but I have skied with him a couple times and he is close friends with some of my friends. Brandon is 15 and probably one of the sickest skiers I know. Around Six weeks ago Brandon was in a car accident with a truck and broke both of his legs,and since then he has been in the hospital everyday for six weeks. But on sunday he got news that would change his life. The doctors told him he was paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of is life. And just having known Brandon and knowing how much he loved skiing and how good he was this news hit me and my friends really hard and made me realize how something crazy can happen at any moment and change your life. From now on I'm trying to have a year dedicated to Brandon with no hate just good vibes with everyone. Here is an edit of Brandon's (Spoiler) There's a double. Ski for Brandon

holy shit dude this makes me so sad. it seems like i read about something like this every year: a promising upcoming skier gets in a car accident and either dies or gets paralyzed.so many vibes...

to think i was actually going to make it through a day this week without getting really sad... i dont even know anymore... kind of makes me glad i only have some torn ligaments in my knee
 
rode with him at louise and rab a few times. brandon was the sickest kid to ride with too. always had a smile on his face and was always helping you with a new trick. mad vibes go out to him.
 
ive skied with brandon for 4 years :( we couldn't believe it, its hit us so hard. Brandon was an unreal skier first one out of us too throw dubs and hes a year younger. Great hockey player too. He's gonna come back eventually on a sit ski!
 
I just watched that edit and was blown away. That kid is sick!

His level of skiing makes this so much more of a tragedy. It is awful that skiing was taken away from him by a car accident. Vibes.
 
That really sucks, saw the dude once at COP and he was killin it. Really hope he comes back on the sitski sometime!
 
Goddamn. Stories like these suck. Remind him that sit skiing is an option, obviously not the same at all but there was that one video of the sitskier who could almost backflip. Brandon could use the skill he already has to inspire people in similar situations to the one he is in now. But shit man that's sad
 
Vibes and smiles thata way...this makes me think back to last years xgames. I understand that skier x doesn't really fit the xgames mold, but with its exclusion I missed out on seeing my favorite event, mono x. Those dudes are fuckin nuts and it sucks that pretty much there only shot at national tv coverage was taken away. I hope it returns this year. And with all the ill little park ripper dudes like this Brandon kid getting tragically injured, I am hoping to soon see what I can only imagine would be the dopest contest ever, monostyle skiing, or freemono, whatever. Much love to him, friends and family.
 
Really sad. I'm actually on the verge of crying right now, but don't give up hope. Jack Jablonski (high school hockey player from Minnesota), got paralyzed from the neck down and was told the same thing. But after a year of physical therapy he took a few steps on his own! I'm thinking that there should be a fundraiser (like margetts did but it will actually be successful and something people will want to participate in) so he can get the best physical therapy and possibly make it back on skis. All things are possible through physical therapy. Good vibes all the way.
 
definitely this. Its amazing what the human body can come back from with hard work and a good attitude! I hope the best for him and his family
