Ski Equipment Thread Suggestion

I think the Ski Equipment Thread should be split into two separate threads: (1) One thread for discussion of ski equipment; and (2) a buy/sell/trade thread. As it's currently configured, most of the actual discussion of ski equipment is lost among all the buy/sell/trade posts.
 
Yours is a common request. I personally would like to see everyone use gear swap and or the classifieds. NS already has 2 areas for selling stuff that is under utilized.
 
i think the forums seem to be a better communication method though than gearswap/classifieds - plus things tend to sell quicker because more people are viewing

yup. Most people arn't looking to buy anything, then they see it there and they see a super cheap price, then they buy it. I don't think that the classifieds or gearswap are talked about enough, I have only just noticed them...
 
I agree. Given the number of replies and updates, it's a popular forum. That said, things like ski reviews tend to get lost among the threads, which is why there should be two separate forums. (FYI: I know there is an actual ski review section, but as I far as I know there is nothing to indicate when new ski reviews are posted.)
 
Thanks for the reply. I still think there should be separate forums, but it's nice to see that NS.com is listening.
 
If I wanted to buy/sell here I would feel more comfortable dealing with real people in the forums, plus its easier to add info to a sale later, or for somebody else to correct a mistake. I have to side with the thread maker, separate forums.
 
The classifieds didn't work years ago, and after the revamp, still don't work now. Its not going to be utilized, so give up. Don't try and fix it, just make a new forum. Rename Ski Equipment "Tech Talk" or something, and move all the buy/sell threads from there to the new "Gear Swap" forum.

How many times do I have to explain that the classifieds will never work. This place is based on forums! NSers like complain about prices/product/sellers, bump threads and call people legit. It's not going to change! Give us a Gear Swap forum!
 
the forum is definitely an easyer way to see whats for sale.

ive only checked out the gearswap thing twice and i find its geared to much to finding something your looking for rather than checking out the good deals
 
I have been saying this from the begiinning...we need to open up SKI EQUIPMENT TO:

all in different tabs...THAT WAY THEY ARE Uitilised

i hope they come out the way i see them
