If you don't want to pay out the arse and don't feel like pirating, I've found that hitfilmexpress is a very viable free alternative to premiere pro for basic stuff

Adobe premiere pro is v good for editing, imovie is decent for small edits.

iMovie on iPhone and davinci resolve on the computer. davinci is free btw

If you have mac just use final cut. If on windows either davinchi resolve or pirate premier pro. If pirating premier be sure to not connect to the internet or else adobe will find u

davinci resolve, there is a free version. Very similar to premiere, but its a burden on a slower computer

Biggest thing with a ski movie is the soundtrack and how it matches the skiing.
