Heyy everyone! Im new here..

What's better ?

Blunt ski edges or sharp edges ?

And why :) ? Explain please ..

well for park blunt edges. Sharp edges tend to get caught on boxes and rails and you dont really need the sharp edges because you dont really need to make any crazy carves.

for all around skiing i would say sharp because you hav a lot more control.

Thank you for answering :)

Im only park rider and i just wanted to know, whats better for jumping , doing flat ground tricks and rails & boxes too :) ..

definitely dull edges in that case. i absolutely love dull edges and feel like the pros outweigh the cons. but when i get on skis with edges it sure is fun to shred..

But how much i need to blunt them ? And how ?

Maybe someone can draw or show me a picture about good blunt edges :) ?

Thank you :)

you ll want them dull......jus take a screwdriver shaft at a 45 degree angle and rub it down the length of your ski.......that will dull them......or jus ski on them alot

You'll want dull edges for park. Sharp edges will cut into the snow and get snagged if you're doing butters or land badly.

yea, but that's only basic detuning for a sharpened edge so it doesn't hook when carving up the groomers...
for park skiing, especially if you do a lot of rails and boxes or just enjoy a very forgiving ski, don't forget to detune underfoot as well!
not only will you slide smoother on rails and minimize the risk of catching an edge, but also you'll minimize the risk of edge cracking; a dull edge can take much harder impacts than a sharp edge.
most people i know don't bother doing anything about their edges and they just rail with their new skis untill the edges are dulled.
if you want to quickly break in your ski, you can do it like in the guide rowen posted(except you detune the whole running length, especially underfoot), or if you don't have those tools or don't care very much or don't have much time; just pick up a rock and run it along your edge to break the sharp corner.
