Ski dilemma

hey NS,

I am at a life dilemma here, my fischer ranger108tis finally arrived today and i couldnt be more stoked only issue is that they sent me a size to large. now normally this wouldnt be an issue, i would just send it back to fischer and get the correct size no problemo, but when i was ordering them i was super conflicted over which ones to get. the 188 or the 182. seeing as its quite a burly ski i pussed out and went with the 182, but since they sent me the 188 the conflict has re-arisen. ive asked around the shop i worked at and have received an almost perfect 50-50 in terms of switch or stay.

tldr: i got sent the wrong size fischer ranger 108 ti, 188 instead of 182 debating on keeping the 188 or nah.

brov1 specs:

5'11"

170lbs

single

Because they have some rocker in them your edge that your actually skiing is way smaller compared to a ski that is a full cambered one so the 188 should be fine

How aggressively do you ski? What do you want the ski for/how do you want it to perform? It's almost impossible to give you any advice without knowing these things.

i want these essentially only to charge, i have a quiver and these would be my go big and fast or go home skis. i want them to hold up at big speed as sometimes my jeffery 114s just couldnt handle what i was doing

i ski very very aggressively i have some race training and have been skiing since i started walking

Then wouldn't you want the bigger, more stable ski?

If you ski as aggressively as you say you do, this really shouldn't even be a debate.

yeah it wouldn't be but i want the ski to be able to perform at least moderately in trees ar other conditions and with a 188 ski it might be a little to much length.

i think i am going to keep them tho

Meh, you're a good skier, you'll figure it out. Definitely a good call to keep them, I think.
