Depends most skis are built in a couple of factories. Faction are built by Nobile in Poland, they don't have their own presses. A lot of stuff is made in the Elan factory (4frnt being one).

A lot of the bigger European brands have their own factories, Head, Salomon, Rossignol, Dynastar, Atomic, Nordica, Elan, Volkl etc etc all have fairly large factories in their respective countries in the EU.

As a result of this they subcontract out their factories and expertise to other brands. For example, Armada do not make a single ski of their own, most of their stock are built by Atomic in Austria while their metal laminate skis are made in the Blizzard Factory and their cap skis in the Head factory.

A lot of the smaller brands like Faction use plants like Nobile Sport who do not have a ski brand of their own but have big brand level manufacture capability.

There's also a lot of smaller boutique factories across the world who have built their own facilities, DPS, ON3P and Praxis being the main ones in the USA and places like Suprat and Alpina in Europe.

This dude above is pretty on point.

That being said a lot of newer small companies that outsource will get their own molds made. When I say molds I am talking about the camber shape. The problem is that they are super expensive. So they will get a few of their own skis and then get a few "off the shelf" skis and just throw their graphics on them to save money, hopefully grow the brand and be able to invest more in the future. Remember when Corrupt came out and the first year it was just re-branded Dynastars?

To give credit 4frnt makes some of their skis in the USA. Also, when Elan makes their other skis its in molds designed by 4frnt.

Brands like Icelantic get their skis made by Never Summer in the USA.

DPS just started making some of their skis in the USA, the other still get made in China.

Here at Moment we make all of our own skis in the USA.
