Ski companies making snowboards

Mad props to 9thward for making snowboards. Or so that thread claims they will be making them soon. But just to let everybody know. High Society SKis/Snowboards has been making both since 03... so 9thward isnt alone in progression.

as I said in the other post, I give props to the freeride movement and esp High Society for starting it up.

At first its hard to imagine a company that makes both skis and snowboards would make both well, you'd think that if they dont focus on one aspect, then the quality across the board would suffer. But I rode an HS 171 all of last season, beat it to hell and it still rides beautifully. And from what I've seen the boards are just as sick too. I hope ninth follows in their steps and keeps up the quality across both skis and boards.

it is a mistake for ninthward to make snowboards, simple as that.

i dont really like the idea of ski companies making snowboards. but 6thwurd can do whatever they want cause no one cares about htem anyways

you people are crazy man. I think that its sweet taht the are doing that, it shows they want to integrate the industres together and create a skier snowboarding bond. I think thats dope. It should really all be one sport.

okay, i worded it wrong... i meant smaller newer ski companies that are branching out... yea salomon makes snowboards too, but they also make snowblades, rollerskates, hiking shoes, and about 900 products

I Think it's cool, I mean they are making snowboards and now people are like that's an error they were making skateboards before too... I think it's dope by the time they keep the same philosophy about the rider driven shit. if it is it'll be dope.

K2, Atomic, Marker, Rossi, Volkl, salomon

the reason you see "newschool" companines making them is because many of these so called companies have their skis made for them by one of the big dogs...and the big dogs all have snow board presses

i dont think its a mistake at all.... We are all pushing for the same thing... its stupid to have such a division in 2 sports that are so dope... dope snowboarders have much respect for dope skiers and vice versa so why not support a company that is rider driven in the 3 sickest sports...skiing...skateboarding...snowboarding.
