Vincent: And you know what they call a... a... a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?

Jules: They don't call it a Quarter Pounder with cheese?

Vincent: No man, they got the metric system. They wouldn't know what the fuck a Quarter Pounder is.

Jules: Then what do they call it?

Vincent: They call it a 'Royale' with cheese.

Jules: A 'Royale' with cheese! What do they call a Big Mac?

Vincent: A Big Mac's a Big Mac, but they call it 'le Big-Mac'.

Jules: 'Le Big-Mac'! Ha ha ha ha! What do they call a Whopper?

Vincent: I dunno, I didn't go into Burger King.

the U of Utah is the king of all ski colleges, 30 mins to PC, canyons, snowbird, alta, solitude, brighton, plus big hills right behind campus to build kickers on and such. it's all good

MSU for the year i dont know how im gonna be able to ski that much because i cant have a car, maybe if any one else is goin up there we could work out a carpool thing

Im Going to CU next year, I have already accepted my acceptance!! Cant Wait Man, Im gonna be skiing every damn day!

Peace

Montana state is where i go, its pretty cool, you might want to look into it.

Dont forget your snorkle ~ Bridger Bowl

i go to school in reno, is a little further then 30 minutes more like 45 from all those places that one dude said. and to the one guy who said the thing about 'good schools' CU, UNR, UC davis, and UVM are all good schools, if your looking for ivy league then i guess dartmouth is pretty close to skiing.

'..I am like what the f--k are you talking about. I am a skier..' -eric pollard

Well aside from CU´s Part Hardy Reputation, as it was voted #1 Party School In America... Regardless it has a great Faculty and Overall Excellent academics!! The Best College Guide Books, which i forgot the names of all give U of Colorado 4 out 5 STARS in Academics!! Pretty good if you ask me, seeing as how harvard, yale, and princeton are all 5 stars.

Peace

Colorado=long lift lines. msu has bridger 17 min away, bigsky and moonlight basin an hour away. If a terrain park is really important to you, then I wouldnt come here. Utah might be your best option.

Dont forget your snorkle ~ Bridger Bowl

actually WVU is number 1. Playboy said its unfair to put a profesional on a list of amatuers as to why they dont include wvu on the list anymore. BOYAH

Everyone says that about their school. My friends from BC and Lehigh say that playboy has said the same exact line about their schools too. Sorry, but Playboy most likely didnt really say that, unless they've said it about a ton of other schools as well.

if you suck at school or just dont care cerro coso community college is near the base of mammoth i think , and Dartmouth is the best school near skiing definitely, too bad i have no chance there , I'm going to UVM, or Bates in maine

PimPnJibb - i live in boulder, and i promise you that it is not within a hour for the top resorts in the nation. without traffic the times, at least when i drive, are like so:

Vail - 2 hours

Beaver Creek - 2 Hours 10 Minutes

Breckenridge - 1 Hour 40 Minutes

Keystone - 1 Hour 30 Minutes

Arapahoe Basin - 1 Hour 20 minutes

Berthoud Pass - 1 Hour 25 Minutes

All of those are if you went, for example, on a weekday. Traffic on the front range is so bad on the weekends it is disgusting. It took us 3 Hours and 45 Minutes to get back from vail on Sunday, and that isn't even that bad. I've had it take upward of 4+ hours to get back from vail multiple times.

CU is really sick though. you'll have a really good time.

in terms of 'good' schools near skiing:

dartmouth (dartmouth skiway and all NH/VT resorts)

middlebury (middlebury snowbowl and VT resorts)

amherst (not bad on the drive to VT)

williams (same as amherst)

bowdoin

bates

im not in college yet but im fo sho going to a college next to ski area with a park

I go to college in Los Angeles, but I still ski 2-3 days a week at Mammoth. My school (USC) gots a ski/snowboard club/team. We rent a house in Mammoth for the season and can go there whenever we want. There are some guys who have spent more time there than at school. Only bad part is you cant do rails/kickers at school since it doesnt get below 70F very often.

The U is honestly your best bet. It is a very good school, and all skiing is 30 minutes or less away. Not an 1 hour and 30 minutes. Idont think I would ever live somewhere where I would have to drive that far to ski.

VIVA LA FRONTFLIP!

Go to the university of utah. I am finishing this may and trust me it is THE place to go to school if you want to ski. PC is only 40 min from the dorms on a busy traffic day and snowbird, alta are only 22 miles from the dorms. you can schedule most classes in your first few yeasr so you are done by 10 or 11 and be skiing by 12 every day. many people take easy loads or only 12 credits in the spring and perhaps summer school which is easy, to even it out. the weather is great and doesn't get that cold in salt lake in the winters.

the school is good and doesn't cost anything close to the outastate tuition that CU has.

Plus there are so many urban rails in salt lake. watch any snowboard film that has urban stuff and there are at least a few rails from slc every time.

Just trust me go to the U of U

ok well if you go to western state in gunnison you are 2 minutes from cranor hill(the most intense skiing of your life) and about 20 minutes away form crested butte, and not to mention 45 minutes away from irwin lodge, the sourounding mountains get some of the most snow in colorado, they averadge around 700 inches a year, and if you guys havent heard cb just got sold to new owners, and they are investing a lot into the mountain. so i made the choice to go to western, i ski everyday on the scariest shit you can think of with a full student schedule, dont wait in lift lines, smoke all day in the conveniently located smoke shacks, get to ski with some of the sickest local skiers in the country, dont have to deal with annoying 'extreme' I-70 skiers, well its my little skiing paradise and an excellent education, western has one of the most doctor to student ratios in the country, anyway what im saying is you shouldnt go to western, cb sucks, the herb isnt even that good, ther terrain is horrible, the mountain biking is worthless and there is nothing to do up here.

your forgetting something about U of Utah.... its like 90% mormons, and i dont know about you guys but i am not mormon and it doesnt seem like it would be fun to go to a school where you are a minority..... I am extremely happy at nevada- reno, so i suggest you look into here. There is also this school called Sierra Nevada college, which is right in Incline Village, but i dont think its a very good school.

Ok western boy, get some shit right. Cranor hill is only open every 8 years for 3 weeks, and no it isn't intense. Cb is alright but don't try to make it seem better than the other ski areas in colorado because it isn't. yes there is steep terrain, but it lacks in everything else, including size. The only reason the park doesn't suck is because I'm on the park crew. And Western isn't that great of a school. There are a lot of really dumb people with doctorates. when I was a little freshman like yourself I thought it was the shit too. But really, Gunnison sucks. And passes at CB cost too much. Yea there's a few pros around here, like one Seth, big deal he won't talk to you he's too busyt cutting everyone else in the lift lines and talking shit about the wolverene candy at the movie theather. O yea that's another thing the only movie theater is 30 min. away. Gunnison sucks, and cb isn't anything special. I too defended this place untill I realized how much it actually sucked.

Whatever you do, don't go to UBC or SFU. Both of them suck and are WAY too far from any good skiing.

SKIER: How would you describe your style?

PJ Cliche: Total skate influence. Even doh dis is on concrete, an you are face sideways, an it has sweet fuck all to do with ski, skate 'as play a huge role wit my steeze.

I almost went to western, but didn't because all I would do is ski, and I really want to get done with school fast...make money, and be able to ski where and whenever I want. Not knocking Western, but I just made a different choice. I would have gone there if I wanted to quit school and just ski.

Boyz, boyz. U of C, in Calgary, rocks for skiing; parties and the HOTTEST girls. We have a kick-ass park at COP less than 10 mins from the school, and if u drive like me, the mountains (Sunshine, Louise, Fortress) are like 1-1 1/2 hrs away max. Also, on weekends you can always find someone going to BC (Fernie, Kicking Horse, Paonrama) or Castle to catch a lift with. The only downside is that U of C kinda blows as far as schools go...
