Ski Clothing Industry Way too Crowded.

i know this might sound increadably hypocritical but man, there is just way to many kids that think " You know what, im gonna print some tee-shirts and call my self a company". My bro, Collin Wright (from buffalo), Owns Ambush Clothing and i see firsthand the amount of work that goes into running this type of buisness, and frankley, i think its way to much. I see it as a sort of "disrespect" to alot of the more established companies who work there asses off and spend thousands of dollars to copyright their name, print products, pay off loans, and other shit are getting over shadowd by the kids who print like 5 tees and rep there shit to the point insanity. Companies like Jiberish, Enom, Ambush, and Logic are being called a "hoax" (not entirelly) cause so many other "kids" printed sum tees and failed. So the freeride scene gives them shit.

My bro went to the bank with a 25 page buisness plan, took out an 5,000 loan, got some investors, and spent one year desiging shit. and hes finally ready to drop and people just think its gonna be another fuck up like all the other ones that failed. But man, i have never seen shit like this and the ideas he has. its crazy. So be prepared

And to all the kids interested in this outlet, SAVE YOUR MONEY, have artistic flare or talent, And prepare to work your ass off. That is if you want a legit, respected company.

P.S. - All the brands you named aren't even ski clothing. They are lifestyle clothing marketed towards freeskiing.

It would be much more interesting if there were some small companies similar to Grenade that were marketing themselves towards newschool skiing outerwear.

The only way to make money form clothing is to sell to Multiple sports not just skiing, if you only sponsor skiers you will make nothing. If you are a core company and sponsor the right people and the right sports you will make money trust me. My dads friend started billabong in burleigh heads in australia 5 mins down the road from where I live and he stated making his shit in 1973 making just board shorts with fabric from target, he is now worth 350 million dollars and still owns 51% of the compan. The money is there you just gotta be original and not just sell to "skiers". Your gonna see a new company come up in the next month or that everyone said was a "hoax" but its gonna be better than any of the other shit youve seen. My respect goes to Ambush clothing though you guys seem to have not bad stuff , companys liek sublux are just fukin gay.

Siver Cartel is proably the only street wear company thats making alot of money and staying core there stuff is awesome full respect to those guys cause there shit is original. But sublux puts 2 chicks on a shirt and thinks that its original?? I like ambush there stuff looks not to bad and this kid seems to have alot of heart so good for him. Surport core companys not just core ski companies but core companies who give back to the action sports world and give you original shit not jsut a brand name on a t-shirt made in china.

I don't get why everyone is putting down Ambush so hard. Be constructive at least, because right now, you guys are just destroying someone's work and effort (regardless of what the result of it was, i'm sure it will be good) and if that was you in his position i'm sure you wouldn't like it. Of course you're not in that position because you feel "above" him, you can tell by the way you put him down. Well he his taking steps toward a minor dream he may have, and what are you doing? I would like to clarify my post...I was in no way putting anyone down and don't want to be grouped with the haters. I just wanted to clarify what kind of clothing they are making.

I don't care if ambush is a hoax or not, if they made some tech. outerwear and took on companies like obermeyer, I would support for sure. That's all I was saying.

I will add that, I'd only support if you did it right though. My money is earned too hard to waste on shitty waterproofing or companies who are taking advantage of skiing's growth. Trust me even some of the "core" companies are only taking advantage.
