Ski CAmps

What freestyle camps are there at Mt. Hood, besides Windells thats based on tricks Windells is a ski camp now but its kind of small cuz its ski/snobord combined and theres hella borders

mount hood ski camp or something they have freestyle so i think it is mostly moguls but i havnet been there. i would say if you go to hood definately go to windells so many crazy rails and i heard they have a really big superpipe. i saw a pic and they built a staircase tyep thing so that you could practice handrails it looked cool

yeah i am thinking either high north or windells next summer. whist is cool but windells has so much terrain. for anyone who has gone, where do you stay and how many hours a day can you ski?

I have been working on a new camp that will be at Hood. We are still waiting on receiving lane space, but it should be dope.

It will be an all freeskiing lane, with a superpipe and big kickers. The on-hill facilities will be maintained by skiers, but the cat drivers will be from one of the big snowboard camps. No bumps or snowboarders, but lots of kickers and rails. The lodging will be in Government Camp, and the coaches will be some of the folliwing: Greg Tuffelmire, Nick Mercon, Boyd Easley, Shane Anderson, Shroder Baker, and more. There is a full skatepark for the camp, and we will also do all the other off-hill stuff: wakeboarding, skateboarding, trips into Portland, etc.

If you want to be on the mailing list, please e-mail your name and mailing address to: skihood2002@yahoo.com.

Whistler is definitely cool, but shit Windells terrain looks insaaaaaaaaaaane! I wasnt really impressed with anything but the public park up at whistler (summer), I mean it was like the best week of skiing Ive ever done but it didnt look like it could compare to Windells. I think Im still gonna hit up HN tho since I love Whistler and the coaches at HN are cool as hell.

i go to whistler every year at high north and it is supa sick, but i was talkin to kristy leskenin and josh berman about this new camp in hood this up comming summer, i think it is called camp revolution is should be goin off

Is there any camps near the east? we're eatin shit out here too with this fuckin 60 degree weather

'This girl had the WHOLE PACKAGE dude!!'

'The chick had a cock???'

I've been to Camp of Champions the last 2 years and it is kickin' some major tail!!

They have awsome coaches who make you feel like a part of the group and can teach

just about anything. The accomidations are pretty good to with a full game room

just for COC. I'm not possitive but i'm pretty sure that i'm gonna stick with COC.

As far as Hood goes the only one i've heard of is Windell's.

Later,

Tad

Windell's is the shit, dude... there are tons more boarders than skiers, but everyone is really friendly and the attitude is awesome. Coaches this year were Chris Collins, Kevin Eichner, Pollard, and another guy I don't remember. The terrain on the hill is INSANE, there are pros, photographers, and filmers everywhere you turn, and the atmosphere is really laid-back. You session whatever you want, and usually a coach will come hang out with you and give you tips and stuff.

Off-hill is almost more nuts than the skiing itself. The skate scene is incredible- pro skate coaches, a HUGE halfpipe, three minis, a massive seven-corner bowl thingie, and a gargantuan street course. Then there are three bmx courses... full free rental shop for skis, boards, skateboards, bikes, mountain boards, movies, etc., trampolines, free stuff every night, tons of hot chicks, great food, paintball, rafting, wakeboarding, and so much more.

The scene at the camp is just so awesome... just an example: I'm not a great skier yet, but I'm getting there. Nevertheless, up at camp one day I found myself sessioning a rail with Jon Olsson, Boyd Easley, Chris Collins, Eric Pollard, and Mike Laroche while Kris Ostness, Decesare, and Dave Levin were filming us. It was insane....

If you've got the money....

GO TO WINDELL'S
