I was riding our ski bus up the hill and the driver stopped to pick up someone- we all thought he was hitchhiking but i think it was one of the drivers friends, thats like a 5$ savings in gas-- any other ski bum stories?

Ski bumming is a rite of passage...it's people living a life they want to live in a place they want to be doing what they want to do, day in and day out. For those people who can pull of being a ski bum and living very cheaply, more power to them. Not everyone needs luxuries to be happy.

This next semester I'll be able to ski at the most 6 days a week, and I'll still be attending school full time. You can make it work- it just takes a little doing.

real bums are sweet too, and plus how is ski bumming doing nothing with ur life? i guess for some people its like that but for me i dont reallly care about going far or making money, i just wanna ski a lot, and have fun

 
ye im 15 and i go to nice private school and i wanna go to college just to keep my options open,but after that i think im probly gonna ski bum it at least for a while, another option is a scuba instructor, cus scuba is fuckin sweet

 
when it all comes down to it, its all about living the life that you want to live and haveing fun while doing it. if you dont want tons of $ and skiing makes you happy, then become a ski bum. but if you really like cars and tvs and big houses, become some huge business man. personally i would choose ski bum.

I don't care what anyone says bout ski bumming. I'm taking all the money I got with me out west after I graduate high school. I am least bumming for a couple of years. Me and a buddy got plans to do it.

Maybe I'll be able to get one of those nice jobs where you just own everything and have other people manage it. that way all I'd have to do is sit around and go skiing, while someone else does all of the work, and I rake in th Dough

its funny when you see guys who were ski bums and needed money so they started working at the resort so they could have money and employee housing...but then they did that till they were 50 and they are now a ski bum without any retirement plans...no money, no house, and some are unable to ski anymore....wait...thats not very funny

yeah I like skiing but I would also like to do something with my life eventually I have other interests most of which are expensive. Therefore I goto college which is good enough to secure the possiblity of a future considering we live in an extremely credentalist society. What i'm getting at is you can ski all the time and still progress yourself in other ways without sacrificing too much.

Same here I mean whatever I want is expensive from down hill mountain bieks to bad ass cars and snowmobiles that gives me all the reason to continue ny education and go to college I have my whole life to ski and I want to have money when I ski
