Here is the best way to ski bum. College. You go and major in some bullshit field like business or something that interests you at a near by college. I go to college it is the best years let me tell you. If you go to school in state, it is not as expensive as you would think. Plus, you are surrounded by tons of people your age, tons of parties and you can ski most of the days ever day. PLUS, you can get student season passes which are cheaper. And, you can get student loans with nearly no interest and no downpayment. A great way to push off 'real' life a couple of years.

As for the 12 years talking like they know what the fuck they are talking about, shut the fuck up. Some people can't afford college and don't have the oppurnity to go. But if you can go, do it.

Skiing is never a sport, but a lifestyle.
Some people question 'why' and wonder 'how'. They just can't seem to grasp 'how' or 'why' we do what we do. Others don't understand, they just continue to wonder. The truth of the mater is that we can't explain it either. All we can say is 'snow so deep you sink up to your hips', 'hits so big you can't see the landing', 'rails with all kinds of bends and kinks', 'natural cliffs and tree runs that you can't explain with any other word than sick' and still they don't understand what we do. On a board or skiis, it is the same. A feeling of freedom and expression in a way so uncommon. But still, they don't understand....
Megs, a good friend of mine says: 'Feel the fear, and do it anyway.' When you do, than you will understand.'
