Ski building

I am really into skiing and I really want to make my own skis in my garage, not sure if its a good idea or if i can do it. Has anyone else made their own skis, can you throw in some tips or just general comments

seconded this. start off with the how to guide then spend a good amount of time reading/searching/posting in the forums there for any questions you have as it is highly likely somebody has had the same thought and there will be an answer waiting. yeah im a freshman but my school changed to IB so its called a personal project and you do it throughout high school.

best of luck man, it is a long journey but totally worth it. getting a ski that i liked more than anything i could buy was the best feeling ever. but i gotta say it was also the most frustrating path ever.
