Ski building ideas?

I build skis and I wanna try some cool shit. I'd be open to suggestions cause I'm not exactly full of ideas. Obviously keep them within reason and I may just try it haha. I'm talking like materials or characteristics, things like that.

If you're interested enough and have the money you might want to email some smaller companies that build high quality skis for some ideas for materials (if you haven't already) and as far as design shape some skis with more rocker and just a bit of camber under foot would be cool kind of like ON3P's skis.

Try making a park ski, but similar to the volkl v-werks (thin on the sides, thick in the middle).

I myself have built many pairs of park skis. The one website I found that helped a lot was skibuilders.com. They have a step by step process for creating some nice planks. The only issue I had with their set up was that their press was really pricey. I would recommend using a vacuum press, It works pretty well and is WAY cheaper. I've made multiple pair. Also, one problem is that vacuums don't have as much pressing force as a pneumatic press.

The reason V werks do that is because they are carbon, you know? Like the core is really only there for stiffness on the length, while the carbon has the torsional rigidity on lock haha. Interesting idea though.

Or try hardening edges by making them red hot and then putting them in cold water repeatedly.

Well thats how heavy duty power tools are made. It just packs the molecules closer together making them much harder.

Light up or glow in the dark skis, would be really cool especially if you make them bright because they would reflect on snow and make the whole park go awww when your night skiing.

Make the opposite of a convex base, so the edges are lower than the base. Could result in awesomeNess or death though. Not responsible for the latter.

No he's right. They'd get mega brittle. I'd probably soften edges before I hardened them more, at least they wouldn't crack as easily and stuff.
