i was just looking at some boots and i have no idea what im looking for. I want a freestyle boot or maybe an all mountain boot leading toward the freestyle side. I ride all east coast and i dont want to spend lots of money. Thanks

well it all depends on your foot. You really should go into the shop and get sized up. Boots arent just about length it really depends on width to. But since you are on the east coast all i would suggest picking out a freeride boot that still has a ramp angle. meaning the heal is higher then the toe. Salomon is really the only ones that dont do that in there freestyle boots. Its just my personal experience that having the ramp angle helps hold your edge on ice but probably alot of kids will disagree on here. But to save money buy like one of last years boots.

unless u dont ski often i would go with a boot geared towards all mountain cuase unless ur skiing 100% park ur gunna hate it also i would save up and spend more if ur not lookin to spend a lot casue the boots the most important part and a good fiiting, good performance, comfortable boot will last u.

Even though all the companies talk endlessly about the technology in their boots, it really doesn't matter a whole lot. Just get the boot that fits your foot best. Technology is no good if you're in too much pain to use it.
Check out gear talk as well. There's a thread stickied at the top of the list that will help you a bit too.
