Ski boots

Ive come to the point where my crappy boots are curling my toes and it really bugs me. Instead of just buying another crappy pair or racing boots i thought maybe i should get boots that fit my style: Hanging out at the trick park all day.

I need something cheap that will kind of absorbe on landings although im not really hitting anything too big.

Thanx guys

from your other thread u said u're 150 lb. so the 1080's would be nice and cheap and there must be some damn reason why they're so popular. i tried the rossi softs on and they seem like a good jib boot and i think they're in the same range as the 1080's. i haven't tried the Lange Concepts so i'm not gonna comment but they're worth looking into. i'd say list those boots to a bootfitter and he'd be able to suggest also non-jib specific boots that might work as well.

i have tried on the ten80s and the rossi freerides and the ten80s are way more comfy than those damn freerides

I have some freeride XX's with about 20 days in them for $100. I got sponsored by HEAD so they have got to go. Size 25.0 with a neoprene liner on the tongue for less shin bang. And it doesn't matter what these other guys say about boots being comfortable cause they aren't sporting your feet. Go try them all on for yourself.

Some people don't like the rossi boots because they're made narrower then a lot of other boots. If you have narrow feet they're good, or if you like a tight fit. They can also be widened by a boot tech if you need a bit more space.

Don't think just jump.

get the nordica Wave 8....i just got them and i love them. i tried them and the 1080 and perfered nordica more.

don't get the rossignol soft boot they have no performance and are just comfterble.

but anyways....go to your ski shop, try on the performance boots, see which one fits your foot personally the best.

theres a natural mystic flowing through the air if you listen carefully now you will hear. its the first trumpet calling. might as well be the last. many more will have to suffer many more will have to die dont ask me why. things are not the way they used to be.

if you have money to burn upgrade from the w8 to the nordica beast. pretty pricy but i hear they are a kickass boot. If you can find a pair cheap go for it

I am not doing the grabs because I am getting a thrill out of touching my ski-JP Auclair

I would reccomend Atomic boots. I have a pair of Smart Zone 7.41 and they are great boots. The have a midflex so you can take them anywhere (with the exception of the racecourse). They have shock absorbers, so are nice on hard landings. And not that it matters, but they look pretty damn cool. I would also look into the Atomic AFT boot if you can find a good deal on it.

Like someone mentioned earlier there is a MAJOR diff. in the way boots fit. For ex., Salomons generally have a wider toe box, but the 1080 boots you speak of do not. They DO have a nice padded bottom for those big jumps and at 150 lbs. like yourself, they will hold up out of the park for you as well. You HAVE to go try boots on before you buy. Spend the money on boots, they will make or break your skiing....they're the link to your skis so keep that in mind. Your skis won't work without nice boots as you may have leaned with your small boots. my two cents
