Ski boots being like snowboard boots?

nay. how often do we get threads like this? anyway, there was just one that was really long and there were a lot of valid points as to why it wouldn't work.

how about soft covers that fit over your hard boot.... such as razors murda rollerblade they seem to work out well.... i think that would be dope cuz most ski boot have the same shape on the outside

OH WAIT I GOT THOSE MIXED UP ROLLERBLADE CO MAKES INCHANGABLE SOFT SHELL COVERS......ROLLERBLADES ALSO HAVE DOPE LINERS THAT WILL CHANGE THE FEEL OF YOUR BOOTS MOR PADDING LESS EXC... I LOVE CAPS LOCK LOL

i snowboard and ski

my snowboard boots are WICKED comfortable and give a lot of flex

there some white k2's and i love them

my ski boots are foils and the only thing id say that is better is that skis have less flex that snowboard boots and you get shin bashing in ski boots which nothing like that happens in snowboard boots

the only thing that hurts when your in your boots is when you go up the chair you board is feeling wicked heavy and feels like its going to dislocate your ankle

^^ do you have nice bindings? that happend to me when i shitty bindings then stopped when i bought new ones, and then started again when i bought 08 atomic ones, atomic snowboarding sucks dick

snowboard boots are like regular boots feeling whys

While snowboarding boots are more comfortable than ski boots for walking, it's really a myth that they are like boots or sneakers. They have a good deal of stiffness and support to them and they can make walking pretty awkward too, especially if you get them fitted right (a lot of kids have them too loose because they they they should fit like skate shoes or something).

All in all, I'm satisfied with the ski boot feel, but I must admit I like the way board boots look a whole lot more. I got real excited when I saw the 08 SPK Pro with the leather on it, thinking this would catch on and lots of companies would start doing it. But I heard a lot of people say the leather gets shredded by your edges real fast, and playing with them at the store I saw that the leather is pretty thin. I'd like to see this leather idea get honed a little bit more over the next few years, it really wouldn't be too tough to make a boot that felt like a ski boot inside but looked even more like a snowboard boot or a skate shoe on the outside. The leather and some cooler style/color combinations would go better with most of my outerwear.

"Sorry, I can't get those boots, I know they fit the best but..."

"What is it?"

"...They just don't go with my jacket"

...?

A proper fitting ski boot is not uncomfortable, and the stiffness and rigidity serves a purpose.

I like my boots the way they are.

i dont know about that, i think you would need a high front or a stiff forward flexing boot because normally you are supposed to be pressuring the tongue of your boot. all race coaches say you should be able to stick a coin to the front of your shin and it shouldnt fall down ever because you are always supposed to be pressuring your boots and that makes you carve better turns. but yeah, it sounds nice to have a soft boot, but there is no way it would work. plus my boots are money, and super comfy so i dont get bothered by them even when i am in them for like 12 hours.

basically, the only thing I wish is to be able to walk without slipping. And going down stairs in skiboots is terrifying unless you go suuper slow.

lets face it, were kinda lucky that we get to wear ski boots. my spks are very comfortable although they lack some warmth but thats what wool socks are for. also they provide much better protection, i mean hardshell is obviously safer then a soft. even though a soft might be a lot lighter, the spks are pretty damn light, and there buckles open bottles, so if u got a root beer, jus go down to ur buckle and bottoms up.oh the spk also has the draw sting thingy which is sick to. but ya ski boots are fine the way they are. at least im content.

I slipped once while walking down some slippery ass stairs to get to the bathroom. I felt like such an gaper scrambling to get back up. haha, I'm normally fine walking in them though.
