Im diggin all the ideas! keep em flowin! Im hopin to have some sort of rough draft made up by mid december, im swamped with essays and research for school right now so im a little to busy to start writing but all these ideas will be way useful, thanks guys!
 
tom should not even be considered in the same category as simon or tanner. he's just beginning. they are legend. maybe put jon in there if you're gonna throw names around in that category.

hahah, I would buy this.

something should be included about all the snow/winter gods and goddesses of the world. There's even a snow goddess of Hawaii. apparently you can actually ski there! there are a bunch of Nordic gods/goddesses. There's also "yuki onna" (snow woman) in Japan who kills people who are alone in the snow. Maybe she could be like a demon or devil of some sort.
 
Did nobody get that he was criticizing this supposed authors incorrect word choice? Maybe he should get learned up on his grammar before tackling a novel.
 
instead of focusing on one omniscient and omnipotent father figure of skiing, you can adopt the multiple god concept from the romans.

So Jon can be the doubles - god

Tanner the first Ghetto steeze god

Wallisch the rail god.

And leskiinnen the hot god? like aphrodite

And then you can have the hercules (half god half man) that resulted from a god and a woman like kye peterson.

My bad, I typed it out pretty quick and I don't really go back and edit my NS post like I would an actual essay or book. And yes, I did mean "prophets" and not "profits" haha, although that wouldn't be so bad for me if I had additional money, it would seem quite corrupt.

You should have excerpts from FREEZE issues in there somehow. That basically was my bible when I was younger.

i feel like someone did, but even if they didnt he needs recognition. hes like a legend. hey, thats a good idea. make some parts with legends of events like tanners broken ankles and the first urban etc...
 
please dont replace chi with steeze .... steeze has to be one of the most ruined, and most misused words in the ski/snowboard dictionary ..... the book sounds like a interesting idea. you should post some chapters in the forum as they are finished. good luck
 
tanner can be god of wankdom ... in the scope of skiing and skiing history there is no way tanner is god ... god of the tall t perhaps .

C.R.E.A.M said take a trip to the west, to one of the MAJOR ski resorts, that's def not Hood, and it's the ONLY place to ski in the summer. Most def not in a league with whistler, squaw or mammoth!
 
word but my point is. if you are gonna make a big trip out west.. why not do it in summer when you wouldn't be able to ski anyway if weren't for hood (and whistler.. but the pub park is not as good in summer.. supposedly)
 
point taken, and don't get me wrong, my grandparents live in Hood River, so I grew up skiing there and Bachelor, where the other side of my family lives. I'll always love meadows, and there is some dope terrain, I was just in the mind of a ski season trip, u know experience one of the west coasts three foot storms.
