Hi, I can get some Scratch FS 174/5 cm for a good price, only problem is that I'm 186cm tall, do you think that would be a big problem?

Cheers

I rent... and I usually rent skis which are roughly my height sometimes a little less but the width are usually ~76mm. Does the 176cm include the length of the tail + tip?

yes, everyone but k2 measures from the tip to the tail with an imaginary line. so that will probably be about 3-4 inches shorther than you. that will work, but def. look for something a bit longer if you can.

Yeah, Now I've found a pair of Atomic Pimps 193cm. Is that too big? :p

It seems like all the good deal skis are not my size.

yeah I would love a pair of them, but the problem is even if those skis are down in price they're still too expensive for me.

I'm looking at $350. Also I'm from Europe, so I don't have tons of SKI shops selling those skis.

It's hard to say, I'm pretty big... so I think I can't go too short. I'm also not used to really fat skis... so would the combination of skis my height plus that extra width be hard to handle? I've got the experience and skiing skills, I mean: I can go down Blacks with style... I just want to start doing big jumps, and going more off-piste.

well if your hitting up park those will be rough, theres less area and therefor less stability, if you ski big mountian its the same thing, id say find a ski thats in the 180-190 range

Or, keep demoing different skis til you find what you like the best. The Atomic Pimp at 193cm should work great in Europe, all mountain, any mountain.
