Ski Bag?

Okay, heres the story.

This summer i am going to New Zealand to do a season based out of Queenstown which i am fantastically excited about, which brings me on to a problem, i have 2 sets of skis and a snowboard which i plan to bring but i don't have a bag that will fit all three!

Are there any particular bags that people know will fit the said 2 sets of skis and snowboard?

Your help is much appreciated!

I'm pretty sure thats not possible. You could get a large ski bag for both skis and a snowboard bag for the snowboard. I suggest leave 1 of the 3 though. Sometimes you gotta make sacrifices traveling.

What if you took the bindings off the snowboard, laid it flat, put the skis on top of it (or put it on top of the skis...which ever fits better/your more comfortable with) and packed the bindings separately (or crammed them in the ski bag somewhere if possible)?

Sick idea, I don't currently have a 2 ski bag though, was wondering if one of the ski companies made an extra large bag for skis like the one that Travis Rice pack full of boards in the opening sequence of the art of flight!

I don't know about that bag...but if you're looking for a big bag, the Armada Anchorage bag is HUGE, I could easily fit two pairs of skis (186 ON3P Jefferys and 181 ON3P Filthy Richs) plus my boots, poles, helmet and outerwear...I can imagine you'd be able to put put pairs of skis, a snowboard (unmounted), the bindings, and possible still have room for both pairs of boots and some extra stuff if you're willing to pack it tight.

I personally use the Dakine Fall Line Double, and I can fit two pow skis in there. Infact it's not the length of the 190cm FLD or the height rather it is the width that I have issues with. The bag is only just about wide enough for two set of skis.

The largest bag Dakine make is 200cm the Concourse Double, this is a little wider and deeper too. So I think there is a possibility that you could, if packed well fit two skis and board in it. However, I am by no means saying this will work, try to go to a shop which sells the bag and try and pack it; I actually find shops are ok to comply with this sort of 'prepurchase' practices. I suppose if you're pushed for space, you could always take the bindings of your snowboard, and take these in you hand or main luggage.

There is a third option, which I've just thought of after writing the above, why this whole answer may read in disjointedly. Have you considered a Ski Roll Bag? These thing have no shape, it's just a piece of material which you roll around your skis and then strap it up, so they could stretch in almost any direction. Also they usually are designed to accommodate skis up to ~200cm, so they'll be plenty long. Here's a link to a ski bag roll in the UK -http://www.skibartlett.com/scott-ski-roll-bag-4-pairs-was-110-15829-p.asp

i have an armada anchorage bag, and it easily fits my pow and park skis. i have gotten three pairs in it before. the problem i normally run into is weight limits on planes. two pairs and small softgoods like gloves, hats, facemasks, suspenders, etc, normally puts me at the max weight.

if you are going for a season and dont mind paying a little extra in fees for a heavy bag, you could easily get everything into it

Thanks a lot for your help man, i actually live really close to Ski bartlett, I'm from portsmouth. You from the UK right?
