Ski Bag that fits all?

I'm taking a Greyhound bus for a trip over new year, I guess you can't take skis on without them in a bag. So does anyone have advice on what bag to get, like is there one which would fit your boots too? (Otherwise I'd take my boots in my carry on, to avoid second baggage charge). I'd like to fit most my clothes in too.

I was looking at board bags and they seem to be cheaper, and bigger for clothes. My skis are 159cm so I reckon I could get a board bag long enough. Does anyone know any reason why I shouldn't go in that direction?

I'm kind of annoyed about having to buy one; I've never needed one before.. So, yeah, I'm definitely price sensitive.

Most board bags are around 160-170cm so that would work if you never plan on getting an bigger of skis. You should be able to fit your boots, jackets, coats ect in there as well. Pack all your street clothes in there too. Take a carry on with any personal items, toiletries, computer along with anything that is breakable ie goggles, beacon ect.\

I would just keep an eye out at each stop to make sure if your bag is taken off, it gets put back on!

Also dont forget the booze and headphones. Greyhounds suck in my experience.

Thanks! It's my first time catching a greyhound (I'm forigne okay) but they certainly don't have the best reputation, especially in the country where someone was cannibalised on one...

To be fair to Greyhound, there is no way they could have predicted that. Also, (to the best of my knowledge) it's only happened once. Considering there are hundreds, if not thousands, of Greyhound busses running everyday, I wouldn't list that as a reason to be worried.

That said, the times I've dealt with them, they've had terrible customer service.

Thanks. Douchebag's is desirable, but unfortunately I need it tomorrow and they aren't sold in my little tourist town...

That is being fair. I'm not judging the company based on one psycho, I promise.

I have a monster Dakine snowboard bag that fits 2 pairs of skis ... (180 and 189's) plus all of my outerwear and long johns, neck warmer, gloves, etc. So I basically put all ski stuff in that and than carry on my boots and have another bag for clothes.

This.

The Dakine fall line Double ski bag is perfect. I'm able to fit a pair of 178 skis (92waist) and 191 skis (118 waist), plus boots and all my outerwear (including helmet, goggles, etc) in the bag. Plus it comes with wheels so its super easy to haul around. It also has pockets that are pretty deep to put all the wax/scrapers/tools you could want.

Check that with the airline then just bring a carryon or bookbag with my baselayers.

Cash money homie!

My Armada Anchorage bag currently has in it 4 pairs of skis ranging from 171 to 176 (3 mounted, 1 unmounted - I've also put 186s in the bag), my boots, a jacket, pants, hoodie, goggles, mittens, poles, and various other small things. It's insanely heavy right now, but somehow all that shit is in there, haha.
