Ski backpack

yeah that ^ or fischer makes one that super nice....dont know the model though
 
I have the camelbak hellion and it is super sick. Holds shovels and has quick releases on the sides for shovel handles and icepicks. Holds 2 liters of water and has an insulated hose. Also can do diagonal ski carry and holds boards.
 
Heli Packs are smaller, but in my opinion, better. The pro has all this added shit you dont really need, and you pay up the ass for it. Go with the heli pack, it'll carry skis, gear, shovel and water.

My one regret with mine is the hydration sleeve. Dakine boasts that it'll keep from icing up so you have water at all times. Mine never freezes unless it's 32 degrees or below. Its bullshit.

Oh, and the dakine reservoirs are shit. The quick disconnect thing is a great idea, but mine always disconnects when I'm riding. Go with a platypus.
 
I've been using my Heli Pro pack for in-bounds and backcountry all season and I love it. It has just enough room for all my crap on day trips, but I wouldn't ever consider using it for any sort of overnight thing. I can't say anything about the water sleeve because I've never used it, but everything else has worked great and I wouldn't change a thing about the pack.
 
i have a dakine vertex pack that is sick, it has all thew straps for shovel, axe, skis and stuff plus insulated hydrosleeve. its similar to the heli pro, but its more designed for bc use and hiking, so its a littel bit smaller and lower profile which i like because its very light,compact, and comfortable and it still has planty of volume to carry all my shiz with me.great pack
