Ski Advice

Alright My name is Kavu I ski the midwest (Telluride Purgatory Breckinridge) Im an advanced type of skier I can ski everything but love the park (thats what I focus on the most) What Im looking for is a pair of skis that can handle the park and perform very well, Im not going to be doing urban or anything hardcore (the best trick I can do is a nose butter 3) Im 13 5'1 and am about 98-99 pounds my budget is probably 300 or 350 if I'm lucky without bindings!! (I have bindings) I was going to get the Line 2014 Afterbangs and still do.

Yes I copied the How to ask for ski advice thread.

Hmm kavu...

you don't really mention that you have any personal preference on a ski in terms of stiffness. Since youre still growing and not completely developed yet as a adult skier you should stay away from standard park skis such as the volkl wall, Faction candide 1.0 or Salomon Nfx or other skis with similar shape and flex; full camber, stiff. Any ski will work though for park for you though. You say you like nose butter 3s so you should go for something like the al dente or another butter ski. Personally I like the 4frnt switchblade because it has a moderate flex and has camber underfoot and rocker in tip and tail. But then again isn't that what most skis have now? But it's not butter too much but still very soft. The switchblade is the most durable and long lasting ski ice used and I hit rails all day.

Hopefully that helps for you Kavu!

Thanks for the advice dude it really helps the only thing is its not easy finding park skis that fit my height and age. Im only 5'1 and have been looking at stuff within the 150-157 range for height of the ski I mean buttering doesn't have to be my main thing I want to learn corks and rodeos soon and I watched the promo vid for the Abangs and max hill and them were buttering them hard
