Ski advice for the weekend warrior

My buddy is looking to buy his first pair of skis. Need some help recommending an affordable pair (previous years models are great)

Stats:

Age: 24

Height: 5' 10"

Weight: 185lbs

Skill: Average - he lives in NJ, but goes up to Killington/Stratton where he will spend most of his skiing time. Occasionally will come out to Colorado.

He mostly skis groomers, glades, occasional moguls. He doesn't ski backwards (on purpose), but occasional will venture into the park to gaper it up on jumps. He doesn't necessarily need twin tips, but aesthetically he likes the look of them more. Really he wants an all-mountain ski that will hold up ok in all conditions, even occasional powder.

I was thinking maybe the El Rays, since you can get a decently priced pair of 2015's.

+++K for all help.

What B Quincy said. And also I think the shreditor 102 would be really versatile for him. Has a softer flex but holds an edge well.

These have been demoted to my rock skis, but I really like them all over the mountain and I ski mainly trees when it's possible. Can't really beat it for $370.

Cheaper on evo haha
