So, i applyed to this school this summer that considers on you as an athelete and drives you to get into a better skier. Didnt get in and i didnt really have a fair chance cause of some, well, you might just call it some bureaucracy/paperwork.
This year im reapplying, and have like ten times the chance to get accepted. So im already getting all stoked up! Going to need my own flat or a dormroom, which is going to rock.
my question is, what do you guys think about these types of schools? And if there are(which i think), how many of you are in one?

if your referring to high school:

i went to squaw valley academy. WORST SCHOOL EVER. i got to ski every day, it was sick, but the education sucked. none of the teachers were trained, i can go on but i dont feel the need to.

DONT GO

bummer man, im norwegian which means that im not in the same type of school system as you. and i think the school im applying to is the second best in the country(the best being the one that PK dropped out of last winter).
so im all stoked about that, im in school now to and its REALLY chill. The only thing im focusing on is not flunking any subjects and not having to many days away from school.so, only thing getting much attention is skiing. Putting alot off energy into that right now

my little brother has been going for the past couple years and he seems to be enjoying himself

I looked into going to either CVA or vermont academy, and it would have been amazing, but here are a few reasons why I didn't. As much as skiing is my favorite sport, I still love to surf and mountain bike, and wouldn't be willing to completely devote my life to skiing. I would like to be a ski guide, but not go pro. Also, the academics really aren't as strong, so I'm happier at a good school thats close to the mountains, where I am now. I get to ski everyday midweek at a tiny hill, and compete on a freestyle team on the weekend. Your choice though.

anybody know of any ski acadmies in canada if there is any ? ( yes i have googled it many time but couldtfind anything )

My friend whos a racer went to one in calgary I can't remember the name though...but I think its geared towards high level athletes and not sure if it has a freeride program. Atleast on the west coast I don't think Canada has one.
