I'm just getting back into it, and I realized I needed a new board. What are some good brands and models?

dude I will sell you mine. I put a shitload of money into it but I don't even have time to use it or anything. Its an Element. Brand new Independent trucks used once. Grip tape is in good condition, only a few scratches. No name wheels but they are in really good condition. The bottom of the deck is in really good condition (its red and black, it says element in white writing). I want $100 o.b.o. The trucks were $40 alone. It is all set up and everything. yeh i went out last summer and got a skateboard, and it ended up being pretty expensive. i got a shortys board, there pretty good. ive also heard that the powell decks are good to.

If money isn't an issue check out zumiez.com or ccs.com You pick and choose what you want and they send it too ya. SOme other brands I like are Santa Cruz, Alien Workshop, and Habitat

get a bulletproof deck if you can afford it! my buddy sk8s for them and he used to go through a normal wood deck every 3 days now he goes through a bulletproof deck every 2 weeks. they're made of kevlar which makes them strong

im 155 lbs. and i broke this little kids board doing one ollie, it was brand new, i can only ollie like half an inch too. so i think i need like strong

Baker is the shit and so is Reynolds. Seriously, also get his spitfire wheels with his name spelled out in weed leaves. Avoid CCS at all cost, go to skate america. They have all the shit I just mentioned.

sorry...world industries new decks are solid and same with the planet earth decks. too bad wi spends so much on graphics, maybe the decks wouldn't cost 8 million bucks

if u can, support your local skateshop, but if its too far away i recomend active. but illenium boards are the shit, my friend just turned pro fot their team. i think they have his new pro model in monsterskate. look for greg lutzka

POWELL POWELL POWELL!!!!! Mini logos are real nice, and briteilites rock too. Right now, I bust or focus like one board each week. good thing i ride free!!!thanks to my brother running a local shop, i am on the store flow, free shit!Jessup griptape is great too, it lasts the longest. Kreeper trucks are cool, cuz they have a glow in the dark model. and wheels dont matter at all

i have a new deal but before that i had like 5 habitat decks and those are the sickest decks ever...buy ones of those...or the new company thats the same company as habitat..its called SEEK...they are ill decks also...

get venture trucks for sure...they last long and they grind smooth...and for wheel buy spitefire cause they are a wheel specific company...

ive kinda just picked up longboarding. i just bought some new 8.5 inch trucks and am working on the board.

 
get a freeride!!!They are the best longboards mass produced. there are some small companies that make real nice ones too, but stay away from sector9 ones. I broke one clear in half just carving around a bowl. they are shit

I got a flip team victory, with some destructo trucks and flip wheels, it's sweetass. Tons of pop, and I already can do flip tricks again after a couple years.
