Skateboards on planes.

I often travel with my skateboard in my suitcase and it is extremely hard top pack in there, but recently i saw a kid walking to customs with one. And it made me wonder if it was allowed. Has anyone ever taken one on a plane as a carry on? I have never seen anybody do it, and i couldn't' find it on any of the airline websites. I always thought it was against the rules for some reason but now i just don't know. Also has anyone ever been hassled for trying to carry it on a plane?thanks.

ive taken them on before many times. but i have also been forced to check it in a plastic bag as well. airlines suck.

hah, ive flown wiht a longboard (not a huge board, but bigger than a skateboard), my helmet clipped onto my backpack, as well as ski boots

that and like multiple cameras and lenses and cords, and a computer

and the only thing they stop me for is a bottle of water

hilariously inadequate.

ha this and also, while flying to breach my bro didnt realize he had bud and a lighter in the outer most pocket of his carry on, it went through the x-ray thing and they did nothing. didnt even take the lighter or bud, whats wrong with security these days haaha

Ive brought mine on before, it just counts as one of my carry on items. It may be different with each airline though, so if you are just check online and theyll say something about it, but I didnt have a problem with mine.

i carry my skateboard with me when i travel sometimes it just counts as your additional carry on, no big deal they wont bother you but you can always call the airline a head of time just to make sure.

Def can do on delta. Me and my debate team went on a trip and 4 kids just took their skateboards on as carry ons, on their backpacks, no big deal.

Yeah, you totally can. My backpack has a few straps on it specifically for a skateboard so I just strap it on there. You could probably just carry it and throw it in the overhead too.

i dont see why you cant, ive been on planes with kids who have... i think the whole what you can and cant bring on is getting outta hand. sure, you can wack someone upside the head with your skateboard and beat ass, but you can also break the in-flight bottle of wine and cut someone up. basically my point is you could hurt somebody with nearly anything, but they wont allow certain things

i've never had a probleme with it both my skateboard and my longboard only i had to check in my longboard. They don't care and its not that big of a deal ethier.

that part about the lighter is a little messed up
especially cuz i was in a group of nine and we all got molested by airport security cuz one person forgot to drink their oj
if its gonna be as strict as it is then they better start catching more terrorists

Although, skateboards can be an extremely deadly weapon- Especially if the truck strikes first (aka a truck fuck /claim)

ive taken my reg. board, adn skiing boots on the plane on my way to hood. id say try it, its only a few inches over a normal board... just dont ask about it, just walk on, and if you have to gate check it, whatever.

Should be fine. If you make it all the way onto the plain, and they wont let it on, all they do is do gate side baggage check and as soon as you exit the plain, it is sitting there waiting for you. Super easy.
